I knew it was the pond in hampstead, it was obvious from the photo, if you know of it. You guys just all live too far south.

I know that pond well, but would never have got it from that photo I'm afraid. As soon as someone said I recognised it but we need a bit more visual info I think.
A compact camera is much much better than a phone camera at night, especially if you balance it on something. Tripods are ideal but walls, cars, street furniture etc. will do nicely.

I had no idea where the church was but just happened to run a couple of errands one of which took me through Byng Pl and thought that looked familiar.
C360_2011-03-23 13-26-45 by middle of nowhere, on FlickrJudging from the shadows must have been there around the same time.
