Anyone have that barcode app on their phone?? see if you can scan that box on the left!
-
• #4479
Would scanning that QR code not just take you to the website of whichever company is paying to have their advertising on the front of that fag bin? besides its missing pixels
-
• #4480
I have no idea, Ive never scanned one, thought it might be related to the shop somehow.

old tag: The French House, Soho
info below from this ES article about pubs with a secret history
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/restaurants/article-850865-pubs-with-a-secret-history.doSoho's leading Bohemian hostelry, previously the Yorkminster, was run for much of the 20th century by the French family, the Berlemonts. When Victor Berlemont took over the pub in 1910 he was the only foreign landlord in Britain and used to eject troublesome customers by announcing: "I'm afraid one of us will have to leave and it's not going to be me." One day a vicar walked in and announced to the surprised bar staff, "I'm from the York Minster," to which the barman replied, "No, you're in the Yorkminster".
The vicar then explained that he had been sent by the Dean of the Minster in York who had mistakenly received the pub's wine. "We were so pleased until we looked at the address label and realised that the postman saw the 'Dean' bit but not the 'Street' bit," said the vicar. During the Second World War the pub became a meeting place for the French Resistance, and legend has it that De Gaulle drew up his Free French call-to-arms after lunch upstairs.
From the Wikipedia page
The French House was and is popular with artists and writers. Brendan Behan wrote large portions of The Quare Fellow there, and Dylan Thomas once left the manuscript of Under Milk Wood under his chair. Other regulars over the years include Francis Bacon, Daniel Farson, Lucian Freud, Augustus John, Malcolm Lowry, Michael "Atters" Attree and John Mortimer
Cool Story Bro:
Went there with some Irish friends of a friend one evening, and I've never seen a group of men, feel so emasculated by the act of drinking a half (you can't buy pints in the French House), they couldn't leave there fast enough to head to a.n.other grotty boozer, it was quite late, to down a full mansized pint...New Tag: A RollerSkating Jam, not called Saturday
ps, the QR code is just a link/advert for Addison Lee. I'm as disappointed writing that fact down as I was when the link to the advert came up on my phone, I was expecting something much more exciting and French...

Darn Corny beat me to it, rushed back to upload and realised i was pipped but luckily the new one was round the corner so went and did that. Old tag was roller skating girl on vauxhall bridge road.
As a result the new tag relates to the previous few tags and not rolla girl. And also on the way back from the French House coming along Albert Embankment and saw this, god knows how that happened but I hope there was no one in the back at the time....insert Xhibit face..hey dawg I heard you had an accident in an ambulance so we called an ambulance for your ambulance.
new tag: clue: sounds like it was near the scene of a battle linking the previus two tags and could be a place where those vertically challenged chaps would feel at home.

Sorry, oh damn I was doing so well, managed to embed pics for 1st time ever but new tag is on the piss, how do you rotate pics when they in here??
I did rotate it before importing from photobucket but when uploading onto here its gone back, argh any help for mr thicky here to get that sorted?
-
• #4491
disqualified
-
• #4492
ha, well i can't be bothered to go out again and re-take photo without camera being rotated(cycling that brick around in this headwind is hard work). I have just asked for help rotating pics in the AQA thread as I can't see anyway to rotate images in here or in photobucket.
If there no way to do it then fair enough i'll take the disqualification on the chin and it can go back to rolla girl :(

redisqualified for using a full sussed with discs on the fixed gear forum!
-
• #4497
Yes redisqualified, Dan, for not telling us that Corny's rolla girl bronze is on Vauxhall Bridge Road.
There again, tagging ambulance-on-ambulance in Bike Tag Of Bike is a meta-tag requalifier!

• #4498
^ha, i did a sneaky edit at 15.03 though John with the old tag details, hoped no one would notice but there are eagle eyes all over this forum.

coming along Albert Embankment and saw this, god knows how that happened
Evidently it was a collision with a boris bike, only minor injuries to crew and cyclist
Thankfully no one was seriously injured
Terrific double-tag linking here blue fleet ;-)
Trebles all round.
