  • I used to live behind those houses.

    snap!?

  • Hasn't the new tag been tagged before?

  • Well done Dimitry.
Bow Locks, apparently there's been a lock of sorts on the site from at least the reign of Edward 1 (1272 -1307)

    Geeky info:
As MoN said, these are clever 'bi-directional' locks since it's tidal on one side and sometimes the water level 'downstream' can in fact be higher than it is upstream. They need an additional set of gates pointing in the reverse direction for the locks to function properly. Better explanation here.

  • snap!?

circa 2003-4. My first move to London. That area was a ghost town back then. Crazy now. Shame about Peter's boat leaving, did you ever go there for a drink?

  • I nearly said my road name in that post. That would have given the game away.

  • Hasn't the new tag been tagged before?

No, there was a tag on the isle of dogs that looked similar.

  • ^it was tag 135, the one that KT Bee and Cycloton3k famously battled for. (Not the same place as this tag)

  • Well done Dimitry.

  • ^ Ha! I couldn't see any bi-directional ones there though.
think I'll fahgettaboud including quite so much geeky info next time...

    (Map updated)

  • who wants a clue?

  • I want a clue.

  • cable car

  • It might take you awhile to get there but you could be flyin on the return...

  • Har har har.

  • Don't need a clue but might need a lift, it's fukin miles away.

I would have thought the amount of water and presence of cranes would have narrowed it down enough. runwayjim sounds like he might land it.

  • Longtime Lurker, First Time Tagger...

    Old Tag:

Royal Victoria Docks. Felt like a mission to get to, but the weather was so good, I didn't mind...

    New Tag:

A shiny gate behind which High Frequency films are shown.

  • High frequency films......hmmm

  • ^bastard, i was just going!
gotta be quick on fridays :)

  • is that like the quickest tag there has ever been, I pop away to the toilet and it's been found already..

  • I dunno. I don't even own that bike anymore. That's an 'archive tag' from when I was bored and in love with bike tag. I think I've moved on now. Is this cheating?

    I think it probably is.

hahah. Armchair tagging it is then...

  • i'll leave it to the elders to decide and go get it in case they rule against you!

  • Not that I would consider myself an "elder" but don't teh rulez say that it has to be the same bike in old and new tags? Therefore if you don't own the bike anymore it can't be in the new tag, unless you have more archive tags lurking.

Besides there is no new tag >>>>> no new tag = old one still open

nice corny, but you know that's actually a massive bike shed right?

  • No new tag; no tag.

But if spybot posts up a new tag his is clearly admissible under rule 6.
