  • Ha! First one I know exactly where that is, so much so I was think about doing one around there when I get round to finding one. Unfortunately I'm crazy busy tomorrow (and probably will still be editing at 3.30), so won't be able to do it.

Which is a shame, cause I'm off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a stag do, If I managed to get a pic there that would certainly slow this thread down a bit...

  • Thank you for the PM Oliver. I got a message to my e-mail.

I have been a little bit busy lately, and also have recently started working for Warburton's in a bakery doing 12 hour shifts, from 6 am to pm, and then the other way around! 4 days on, but fortunately the 4 days off help me recover. Although the change of time and sleepig patterns has made my immune system weak and I am getting ill quite a bit!

I stopped posting after my boss decided not to bother getting his stolen Felt back. He was at a wedding and didn't bother.

He just bought a new bicycle and a fixie.

Well, since I have done about 40 miles in the past 3 months, it may show you that I am out ofmy cycling faze and now I ride a 600 CC motorbike.

8 months is a long time!

Oh and for anyone who remembers my marathon thread, asking for donations for the RNIB.

I didn't make it! I had diarhoe and tried, but I fainted at only 8 miles. I got up to 20 in training! So I was gutted and still am.

My boss who had his bicycle stolen made it! 6 hours nearly! However we raised 1500 for a low vision charity. I worked for him in his Opticians.

Oh and i just had a thought of my first thread here about when I first got my biccle and rode from Stoke Newington to Tower Bridge.

You guys who posted and were happy from reading it, has just made me feel warm inside! It was quite a shock to me how many lovely responses there were.

As for the rules of this game, it's up to you guys since it is everyone that participates that make it what it is. Although the old and new location should be done in one post I would suggest, and I also feel that it isn't a problem to take a new location before you get to the last posters tag. Plus we wouldn't really find out what was taken when unless you have had a hair cut or your bike changes colour! :p

I hope you all enjoy it, get to loads of locations, let's say 100! Heck maybe one rider can attempt to do all 100 or whatever it is in a few years! Depending how successful this is.

Well, perhaps I will be back sometime soon, or a few months, or pass away, so a take care from me folks and ride safe.

  • Ha. My friend's flat is just out of shot in the latest one. Reasonable excuse to nip round for a pint this evening tho thread probably will have moved on by then, sounds like most have got it.

  • top man minhdinh. nice one all who got to the locations and great work 6pt on the map!

calling Brave* its man hug time!

  • i haven't gone out in the end, by the way. it looks tantalisingly familiar but the lounge looked tantalizingly cosy.

Ha ha, I said that would happen :-)

  • if this one isn't already gone by the time i head home i'm all over it.

  • Utilise a lunch brake.

  • ^ you could use a brake at any time of the day.

Lunch breaks, on the other hand...

  • Going to do it in a little bit.

  • the map now has numbers and everything. time I spent fiddling with it means I don't have time to make a targetted detour on the way in to work...

  • 6pt's 6ix pillars is fourth. Not 6th. Missed that one, eh...

  • It's not like I actually wait for slot 6 on a list to open up before I pounce, it's just the way these things happen to go, more often than not

  • sure.

  • the map now has numbers and everything. time I spent fiddling with it means I don't have time to make a targetted detour on the way in to work...

how long will it be when enough places are photo'd, the dots joined, and a fixed gear bike emerges?

  • shhh don't spoil the surprise!

  • This is epic, especially the map. Nice work. I was worried you were all over thinking it a couple of pages back though :)

BBT (Brighton Bike Tag) still going strong too

  • Nice numbers! I don't know how to do that.

  • superb idea

  • Was going to design my own, but meh effort so grabbed those from a code.google article. laziness :) eventual goal is to have a custom tiled map, all greyscale, with a heatmap-style colour overlay around photo locations. However, despite being cool, that's a disproportionate amount of effort to invest in this silly game (though would keep my gmapping skills sharp).

  • Ok so what say we try to make the places associated, even if in a very tenuous way? That would mean people would have to choose their new spot based on the last spot, and once it's guessed by the next person, explain to all the logic of the connection...

  • meh effort, I'm all for places that are interesting or look nice, no connection required. why overcomplicate it, it's working just fine as it is.

  • i think places that make a nice photo are fun. whether its the view or an interesting monument or piece of architecture etc

  • I seem to have broken the cambridge one with my ugly bike :(

  • Fair point 6pt

  • edit-think I got it wrong, Was hard to see Kuba's pic on my phone, think it's the same place.
