I admit I went and tagged the new one before getting the old one. I did check and there was no mention of this not being allowed in the rules? Same bike and same ride.

No, there's no rule about the order they are taken. In theory pre-tags aren't allowed either but if no one knows and it keeps things moving...

As a rough guide, if you've changed your underwear between tags you're probably breaking the rules.
