Nesbitt?

This is a game that's played within the bounds of the M25 as I understand it.
It sounds like ChasnotRoberts is on it, and there are some other tags on the map around this area so it's presumably known to at least a couple of taggers. So shall we leave the clue as it stands for a little while, before I give another hint?

(I've also fact checked the clue and amended appropriately)

Well, been wanting to go here for a while and never knew these were the gates to it. Great tag

All I can see is:
It also has links with the children's author E Nesbit, who lived here as a child.

E Nesbit isn't Rab C Nesbitt, of course, but cryptic clues probably do that sort of thing. Not that I would know, as I avoid cryptic clues.

Edith Nesbit Walk traverses along the southern edge of the park.

Meh.
-
• #25893
Sorry, was busy pretending to be a parent. Edith Nesbit, of The Railway Children fame, lived here once. The Woolwich crest was a good distraction, as was the fact that Rab C Nesbitt moved to Sidcup further out, so good all round deception there. I only found it by accident after seeing Eltham Cemetery had the same Woolwich Crest.

That crest is a previous crest of Arsenal footy club - presumably at the time when they were based in Woolwich.

Are those cricket balls on top or just faded paint?
Perambulate pleasantly at Rab C's sometime home
