A book could be written on making and solving clues; chapter one, what a difference capital letters make!

I didn't link 'piece together' with 'mosaic'. I know every place in London associated with jigsaws now, though.

With a section on when the clue-giver deliberately does not capitalise so as not to make it too obvious.
Anyway, that’s the one @Settle
MOTHER is a really excellent tiny cafe, that does amazing lunches every day and has run some great community events. No financial interest in them, I promise - just an amazing, tucked-out the way café that deserves more trade, especially in these hard-pressed times, and especially in the culinary desert that is Gospel Oak

culinary desert that is Gospel Oak
Didn't even know the cafe was there its so tucked away, thought it might have been round the corner in lismore circus hence the clown bants. Its a welcome addition to that area. Short walk down from that side of the heath. Also cool panda.

New: Shallow waters usually loads of crabs.
I know where this is but can't unscramble the clue.
Oh well.
Maybe I might get there tomorrow.

I was going totally the wrong way with this place https://cindex.camden.gov.uk/kb5/camden/cd/service.page?id=JWz95BJvG7g which appeared to fit both jigaw and clown requirements

I also looked at that one.

Found the new one with a bit of zooming in and also can't figure out the clue.

@brokenbetty nice, you would have come across the tag for kwame nkrumah gaff!
For the new tag think tropical waters...

• #23539
:D I know where the new one is, doubt I'll get there any time before the weekend though
(don't get the clue though)

Found the new one using the same method as Will Melling.
Like him, I don't understand the clue either. -

The building you can see over the wall is unique to the area, and recognised that and was going to trundle round the area till I found it. No idea about the clue tho.

Clue: From here, all paths lead to Texas.

Nice one dude I should probably explain the clue.
The mangroves are a good place to catch crabs and are found in shallow waters.
8 All Saints road, former site of the Mangrove restaurant. If you look up at the top of the building there is a blue plaque for Frank Crichlow. Story recently depicted in Small Axe. Looks like the flatmates have ironically installed their own blue plaque, I guess to mark gentrification.
Sharing another picture with Barbara Beese part of the Mangrove 9 because I think it's a powerful image.
Not really sure about sideburns on the new clue.

Watched this first part of Small Axe the other day, it is very excellent.

Ingenious, but I guess too obscure even for oat44. :)
I don't watch TV, so I wouldn't have had a chance.

Not getting anywhere with the new one - unless he invented the calculators I put to very poor use at school. My search for scientists and astronomers did pull up pictures of both Will Self and Donald Trump though, so not all bad.

I thought it looked passable as Nikolai Copernicus, but cannot find any armillary spheres in London. Well, I can - but not that one.

I know it, but again unlikely to get to get there before the weekend
Clues are weird because I think I know where this is but don't get most of the clues. If swimming wasn't banned at the moment I'd be round the corner from where I think it is in 200 feet of stainless steel bliss and would be able to check.
