There's some excellent YouTube footage to be had on that topic, for those with a grand scale engineering bent.

Childcare sorted... Old: Channelsea Island, from Long Wall Path, SE perimeter of Abbey Mills Pumping station. So much history, but the first mill recorded here was called Wiggen Mill, then it was Abbey Mill once connected to Stratford Langthorne Abbey. In the 19th century it was a chemical works producing sulphuric acid (the building visible here).
Recent plans to turn it into the largest mosque in the UK were rejected on the grounds of contaminants still on the site. It is only accessible by canoe it seems from a recent intrepid blogger who found giant hogweed growing happily. Much more info here:

Just behind the path lies the first Big Brother house site which opened its doors exactly 20 years ago.
Great tag!

How on earth did you find that exact tree?
And what has any of this to do with Eejit's dinner? -

My evenings mostly consist of walking for 2 or 3 hours with a baby strapped to my front. I basically streetviewed it but in real life. I thought it was originally on Channelsea path from Stratford High St to the Greenway, and when I got there I thought I would continue along Long Wall path and there it was. I took a photo that evening. I returned the following evening for a brolly tag, but bailed because it was rubbish. I returned the third time last night with a bike, after it got dark but left the tripod, so tried a hand held shot for 2 seconds, again a bit rubbish. All a bit silly really.

Could someone explain the clues now (as if you're spelling it out for an idiot)? Because I know the place but they completely lost me.

Selina is the name of a large tunnelling machine built in Kehl in Germany for the Thames Tideway project. It leads you to Abbey Mills Pumping Station (the Cathedral of Shit), which is just next door to this.

maybe another would have been found nearby
I think 'another' means another mill nearby.
My Selina has just been explained by Oliver

Nobody has yet explained what it has to do with Eejit's dinner.

Here's a diagram of the Tideway Tunnel:
Most of the controversy has been generated by schemes south of the river.

Didn't Eejit say he was going to collect a tag by Cody Dock once he had finished his pudding, then he didn't, and then Will took it back to Hackney?
-
• #22843
No, Eejit gave a clue to allensea's Pudding Mill allotments tag by referring to his pudding. I don't know if he ever intended to leave the house to get it. The Cody Dock (well, near Cody Dock) tag was earlier. The result is that bq and I are now obsessed with Eejit's dinner.

yes! the allotment one, that's what I meant
I might go and get this one after I’ve had my pudding

New; more civil disobedience. The answer is round the corner of the building.
The British Police are the best in the world
I don't believe one of these stories I've heard
'Bout them raiding our pubs for no reason at all
Lining the customers up by the wallIt's an outrage!

I would have taken the old from the same spot as Oat but it was full of Muslim men who had just come out of the Mosque.
The new one marks the first of its kind. And it's not in Hackney. -

'Zactly what I was referring to :)

Is it the Robinson's Barley Water Factory?
The location is not that hard to find; the specific trees, a bit trickier.
