I haven't got a lot to do this weekend so perhaps I'll find a list of all the mews and start ticking them off.

There are plenty of pics of it, with the appropriate car.

I actually found that and went looking for number 16 on them all ðŸ˜

Boom!
January 1913 -

Ah!
For 2¼million I'd want more than one bathroom.
Appears gated though?
-
• #22257
Yep.
Also, Chelsea isn't in the borough of Westminster. -
• #22258
Yeah, I forgot the Chelsea bit. I frequently suck at life and this game is no exception. Sorry.

You can sneak in through the pedestrian gates.

Old: The birthplace of Aston Martin, Henniker Mews, off Callow Street, which in turn is off the Fulham Road.

New: This tagging life is a hard life, but someone's got to do it. I was fully expecting to be tagzumped today with such gorgeous weather, but it turns out I'm golden. The only trouble is that you can't cycle to this tag. You'll have to 'slain it. You'll be glad of that after climbing hills to get there, though.

As for clues to the previous one, I knew about it somehow. It may have been because 'bq' actually stands for 'Bond Q' and so was an obvious hint, or I may remember it from some forum context, either from the early days of the car thread or from one of many conversations with BQ.

Got this one. No time to tag today, sadly.
-
• #22265
Got it.
But I can't get it. -

Also, still on the previous tag, the house has been redecorated (more tastefully, I think), quite possibly following the recent sale. This is its previous condition:
Annoyingly, I can't seem to find the Evening Standard article about it any more, hence the DM image link.

I think I prefer unpainted brick in all circumstances

Here's the sale brochure for Henniker Mews

And some history on Bamford & Martin:

Like the Opel brothers:
As Carlton Reid showed in 'Roads Were Not Built for Cars', many of the early adopters of cycling turned into early adopters of motoring.
-
• #22270
Ha, know the current one. Maybe I’ll go get it later today.
-
• #22271
Incidentally for those that don’t know, the ‘should have taken my car’ clue was because this is my car.

I once spoke to Mrs Aston Martin in an offy my mate worked in, in Stony Stratford, not far from their Newport Pagnell works. They had a Lagonda with the plates ‘AML 1’ on. I said, ‘hey my mum’s initials are AML, do you wamma give us your car?’ and she was surprisingly cool about saying no chance kid.

My first couple of random streetview visits based on "looks a bit like xxx mews" have failed.
