Well I think I'll leave that to rhowe.

It's a lovely ride and the roads might be particularly quiet around 7pm this evening...

It's a lovely ride
Someone in the commute thread disagrees:
No one can drive north of Islington it seems. Just awful angry people trying to escape London. And the cycle path between Wood Green and Palmer's Green is just stupid, looks brand new but it's shared pavement so loads of Peds walking around, then massive speed humps as it takes you in-between bus stop with people waiting and the road. Did not enjoy.

Standard experience of cycling up green lanes. There are other roads north of Islington. Can’t support complaining about the mini Holland scheme either. Politicians took a big risk installing it. Adaption of cycling and walking habits will take time, but a big step forward imo

If I head up, I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for the info!

• #20707
Do we need a clue, or can no one be fucked to go riding in this beautiful weather?
-
• #20708
Clue would be nice.

You might just want to stir everybody's brain stew a little. :)

• #20710
This is on Malaysian territory now, right?
-
• #20711
Technically it’s outside of the Malaysian red line. However in the vicinity you will find references to King Arthur, nightingales, and WW2 German pilots.
Look up, and seek out the mid land river
-
• #20712
I think I know where this is. Tell me more about the nightingales?
-
• #20713
I figured it out using a popular web search engine. All this^^ just confused me :)
-
• #20714
They famously opened their beaks somewhere
-
• #20715
Not useful. The reply I was expecting was something along the lines of "It's a great place to hear nightingales calling in July!" which would have induced me to go and get the tag. Instead, I resign myself to a weekend of DIY endeavours.
-
• #20716
If you like parakeets then the place is a doozy
-
• #20717
Should I just go and get it then? Or would I fell foul of some rule for getting two tags in a row?
-
• #20718
Go get it, we clearly don’t know where it is otherwise we’d have tagged it.
-
• #20719
If anyone fancies a nice ride PM me for where it is. I can't go and get it as I am recovering from intimate groin surgery. Yep. You heard that correctly.
-
• #20720
I think I know where it is, but I thought there was some rule about the North Circular as a boundary in which case I don't... I may ride past it Thursday morning, so will get a scenic snap just in case...
-
• #20721
Apparently the North and South Circular thing is a guideline rather than a roule.

For things like Heathrow

Apparently the North and South Circular thing is a guideline rather than a roule.
It's for those who like to rouler. :)

Once Brexit is enforced, France will be like 'Roule Britannia!'
