Alright, roll back the tags, replace the horses in the stables, draw back the eager hand that had prematurely grasped for the object of desire.
My tag is still live. Someone go get it from the right place!

I think that yes, the bike should be the same to link the two photographs together.
It was never specified however, so in the spirit of fair-play maybe we should accept this one, but after this say it should be the same bike?
Well, it was sort of specified by our august Prophet in the OP:
Hi
I copied this from my motorcycle forum.
Basically they are tagging their motorcycle from one location to another. They take a photo of the same spot as the last poster and then take a pic of wherever they want.
I don't think it has been done on here yet. I hope it can be done.
Rules:
Bicycle must be in pic.
1 clue only.I think all experts in MinhDinhology would agree that the text in bold can be interpreted to mean that it has to be the same cycle, whether motor in the case of the 'other forum', or pedal in our case, connecting two locations.
(I will be presenting a more detailed paper at the upcoming conference 'Tagging: A healthy obsession' which will be taking place in Taggart, near Ballyclare. The conference language will of course be Tagalog, and I hope that more conference participants will have learned to speak it by now than last year, when I felt as if I wasn't really getting through.)

It's about feel for what is right and wrong, what works within the spirit of the game. The spirit that this discussion is helping to develop.
you knew it wasn't on when you said
Ok, this might be a bit controversial
I took that to be a tacit request for rejection so I'm adding myself to the prevailing "nice try but no" camp.

And yeah, both Fujis are mine. I took the Polo photo this afternoon just before I set off for where I thought the phone boxes were. Felt like doing Balham - xxx - Balham on my Fuji with gears though.

BAD FORM!
Old photo (from last summer at the open), for a start, and you took public transport and didn't even get off the platform!

Lovely day for it

Anyway, I have already tagged the new photo so here is the next one. Same bike and quite clearly taken today.

I really don't mind if the new photo is taken before the old location is tagged, but it should be the same bike--if you tag the locations with the same bike (doesn't matter which), you should be fine, cyclotron3k.

theoretically what if they broke their bike somehow between tags and had to get a spare bike...
you'd have to wait for your team car to come with the spare bikes and hope noone gets the tag before you.
if aidan had done a more obvious bike portrait pic at the euro quallies, i might have noticed and got an near instant tag. altho i don't have internet on phone and wasn't going home til after the marathon ride. so not instant at all...don't mind me

That was a really fun ride (again). Thanks Cupcakes.
The building is a warehouse next to Gallions Reach DLR station.

oooooooooo, I know this one..

Nicely recovered cyclotron, chapeau.

Yeah, good stuff. It's a surprisingly nice ride out there and it's even nicer at sunset I think.
My tag is, in fact, the bridge which is part of a (now disused) road junction. The slip roads are all filled in underneath and it's now a park. I don't know more about it than that, but it was one of the 'photo opportunities' on the recent Ride East.
I think I recognise the new one; you and I must live in the same sort of area!

Actually, no, I'm not so sure now.

i don't recognise it so i don't know where it is, but he lives in balham as stated above. i used to live very near, but don't recognise this structure.

steady on ben. i would agree it wasn't a good tag b/c it's clear from the composition of the polo photo that he didn't have BikeTag in mind. but to call it an old photo is very cynical.
i did see him at newington yesterday. and skoota's outfit dates it as not being from the open when he was in BAD not DR. -

Yeah, the second photo is a fair distance from the first one :)

• #1724
Ah, I didn't see the bit about Balham. I don't know much about that area.
There is something similar in Stratford but it's not as similar as I thought!

Did you move away recently? Where are you now?
It's quite a familiar thing, but I took the photo from an odd angle to make it a bit more obscure

i did see him at newington yesterday. and skoota's outfit dates it as not being from the open when he was in BAD not DR.I actually took the polo photo specifically for bike tag, then left for where I though the phone boxes were. I was wrong. But then I went out later on one of my other bikes.
Anyway, he made those slanderous comments after xanderh identified himself in the photo, and he also made a deeply insulting comment about me taking public transport. So I assumed he was just joking :)
If it's clearly a picture of a buidling, then I would think another picture of that building would do.
It's not a picture of a train platform in this case, unless I'm well wide of the mark?
If it was a picture of a location, then that should be the same.
