^ Heh, aye. Unhelpfully, the pub isn't directly named after this particular legendary defender of the poor peasant folk. Instead, the pub name describes him. So if the pub had been named for Robin Hood (which, as I said, it isn't), the pub name would be something like "The Outlaw of Sherwood".

Like Robin, this bloke is a famously good archer.

These council-built pubs were all almost identical. Barely 300 yards away is one that is named after Robin Hood (and friend), but that was closed recently and the freehold is now being sold to developers.

Aaah, no, hadn't spotted that one. Not much to add on the tag, other than the Hero of Swtizerland is next to a Morleys chicken shop, and the mural** is on the side wall of Morleys department store...** (OK, that isn't really that interesting, when I see it written down).
