^ Heh, aye. Unhelpfully, the pub isn't directly named after this particular legendary defender of the poor peasant folk. Instead, the pub name describes him. So if the pub had been named for Robin Hood (which, as I said, it isn't), the pub name would be something like "The Outlaw of Sherwood".
Like Robin, this bloke is a famously good archer.
These council-built pubs were all almost identical. Barely 300 yards away is one that is named after Robin Hood (and friend), but that was closed recently and the freehold is now being sold to developers.

Damn. I was looking on google mpas for all the Morley's chicken locations because there was one in shot next to the pub, but that one's not yet listed.

Dammit. I rode past this yesterday, and I'll be riding past it tomorrow. Doubt I'll last till then though....

Bump - but no clues. Much too easy.

That location has another connection with a singer, as well you should be aware KT.

Errrr, yes?

Old: David Bowie Mural, opposite Brixton tube. The mural was unveiled last year. Bowie was born about 300 metres away on Stansfield Road in1947. More information on this link.
New
Clue: it's a massive statue of a horse and it's in London. Judging from the look of him, he's eyeing up that woman on the right for lunch.

I also couldn't find this on thread. But I'll admit that I didn't check the map. Indeed...there's a map?!
Fortunately as a student of bicycle tagging, I took the liberty of tagging somewhere else on the way, lest this happen.
New new: Apologies for my grave mistake

Aaah, no, hadn't spotted that one. Not much to add on the tag, other than the Hero of Swtizerland is next to a Morleys chicken shop, and the mural** is on the side wall of Morleys department store...** (OK, that isn't really that interesting, when I see it written down).
