Maryland is one of the few places in the UK whose name comes from the States rather than vice versa. Apparently a rich merchant returned to the UK in the mid 1600's from the American colony Maryland, bought land here, built on it and named it Maryland Point.

But I can't think of one and I was 100 yards away from the current one this evening. I'll be back tomorrow if it hasn't gone and if I can pick something.

I think you'd find something photogenically interesting within 10 minutes (probably less) riding time of the current one - and that's without really looking.
Just sayin' like.....
