Good pedals.

I've got the set of Konijn this evening - wanted to try something different. Mainly for the small metal cleats.
They feel good. I had problem clipping in at first, being used to big arse plastic SPD-SL cleats ( you use the front of your shoe and not the middle)..

I use cages or Shimano SPD-SL with Shimano shoes. They were OK, but I hated to walk with those blasted cleats and the back of my shoes would wear out quicker, because the front was to high up.
All nice for a long ride, not so nice for the evening in the pub or walk home after a crash/flats (SPD-SL that is - not the small steel cleats for Eggbeaters).

I must admitt, part of me would like to forget the fact that an innovative company like Look, had to resort to producing under license. But they are solid pedals. They've survived several years of shite climate, and out lasted a couple frames :S

The connection is pretty loose, but grips well when pulling directly upwards. This something I like when climbing with a loaded bike. The ease of clipping out is good for winter conditions, and cycling with a child seat. They float freely from side to side, and have no platform. So are rubbish for putting power down as far as clippless pedals go. But are forgiving on longer rides (IMHO).

Basically great utility bike pedals, but not for your sunday racer.

@AndyP. An interesting combo is quattro cleats with egg beaters. The plastic sides of the cleats make a solid contact with the flats ever side of the pedal mechanism. This gives a feeling of some platform, for better power delivery. The horse shoe shape of the cleats lock mechanism in, removing float, with makes for a more solid connection. The down side is that the cleats could fill with crap easier (havent tried this off-road).
