I've volunteered to look after the court action on Saturday. I need a couple of people to help from 1pm to 5pm; one person to mark up the scoreboard after each game, and one person to help me team whip. Any volunteers?

i can help team whip (wants a real whip though)

team whipping should be much much much easier than it was at the Euros when there were shed loads more people, most of whom the whip didn't know.

Thanks Lemon and Gormley - much appreciated. There are only 8 teams, and we'll have the scoreboard with the games lined up, so should be easy-peasy.

8 teams, split into 2 groups of 4 for round robins. 10 min games. 3 points win, 1 point draw.

This then seeds a single elim. 10 min games, golden goal for quarters / semis. Final will be longer, with golden goal.

so, we are seeded on the RR, but selected from the league standings? oh well, more games!

league standings are not complete - some teams have played more than others, and some teams have played teams others haven't.

and there will be marmalade! I can't wait to see some polo...
