Motorised doping? Should be called Power Assisted Pedalling.
PAP. Much better.

Absolutely no surprise at the UCI response when you look who's in charge.
As I recall, when Kimmage first released Rough Ride he went on Irish TV alongside Pat McQuaid who flat out called Kimmage a liar, fantasist and sore loser when he said that drugs were rife in the sport.
Fast forward twenty years and the response hasn't changed one bit.

They should allow doping in a special edition TdF, like the cycling equivalent of Mr Olympia. See what kind of freakishness would happen. Maybe none cos they're all at it anyway...

I'd be quite upset if I found the likes of Cav, Cooke, Pooley, Wiggins etc. were riding dirty.
In addition to this, I'd hate to see Cancellara have his name tarnished.

Allen Lim has had an interesting career path.

Lance has just finished his press confrence

from Lance's twitter...
lancearmstrong: Just spoke to the press here in Visalia. The transcription of my comments will be on www.teamradioshack.com soon. Thanks.

Oh dear. Don't google for Dr Luigi Cecchini then.

the whole CSC thing as well as being a client of Cecchini certainly makes Cancellara suspect but it would be such a shame, despite the fact that he probably has had to have been doping to achieve the success he has i just dont want to believe it - hes no Lance

reminds me of those greek athletes who supposedly crashed their moped and disappeared as allegations/test results of doping came out at the olympics.
i posted a while ago about how people can convince themselves of innocence if they repeat their 'i'm clean' mantra and shout loudly enough, landis was like this but you can only keep up the charade for so long.

Just read the interview with Michael Ashenden-prob the most detailed account of Lance's 1999 tests I've ever seen and straight from the guy that basically helped design EPO testing for the 2000 Olympics... Verdict? Guilty as sin. Tut-tut Lance... Livestrong!

Just out of interest, I checked the Amazon ranking on Landis' book earlier today, it was something like 570,000 odd.
Now? it's at 70,000 and 63rd in the cycling category
-
• #142
And since I wrote that post its up to 53,597 in all books and 47th in cycling.
-

Maybe now is time to write Bad Blood 2 - the Landis chronicles

"There’s not so much else I can say about this. Except to say it’s another fact in a long line of things that happened in the past and coming from Floyd it’s no surprise."

Saw a clip of armstrong on the news this morning. He pretty much said "he is saying one thing, we are saying another, and we are happy with our position". Didn't actually deny the claims. Didn't actually say no I have not and will not dope...
-
• #146
He has spent the last decade denying doping claims, he is very good at it.

It's a classic Armstrong tactic, attack the messenger, not the message. Landis has very little credibility given how he's lied before so those who want to believe will continue to do so.
I'm surprised Armstrong didn't mention how he's the most tested athlete on the planet (he's not btw, not by a long way) or trot out that old mealy mouthed "I've never tested positive".

Moved to 'fiction', presumably.

One to file alongside Virenque's book, entitled 'My Truth', in the category of books that were released as part of a PR campaign that were later shown to be a tissue of lies.

Taken from his twitter. He needed 8 stitches.
cause they are heavily implicated and the implication if proved true which it probably is will destroy their credibility as an organisation. this shit goes right to the top and its gonna be very hard to make anything stick
