I am an experienced mechanic and offering my wheel building skills.

i can do most lacing pattern(snow flake,3X, radial, ect). track/road or mtb wheels.
front and rear.

I can also get hold of spokes for cheep. so you supply me with your rim and hub and i give you a freshly built wheel back.

i live in balham. but i work in london bridge. so i could collect it on my way back from work depending on where you live.

How much would you charge for a wheelset build (front and rear) if the customer was supplying the spokes as well as hubs and rims?
This may be a silly question as you are a mechanic, but are you using a truing stand and dishing stick?

yeah. i have both. 40 pound for both wheels.

I'll do it for 12 cans of beer. I'm cytech trained & others on here can vouch for my mad skills.

Not being rude but alot of forumongers can do this and generally for about a tenner or beers. 20 a wheel is closer to LBS retail pricing.

As Charco said, lots of forumgers do it for cheaper, and many of them are also tried and tested.

i too have all the cytech certificates. fair enough. i was not sure how much people are willing to pay. i will drop the price, thats not a problem.

just finished me own wheelbuild. but it's not the whobbles that make me wonder, it's the 3 spokes i have left over. to fix this mess, i'd rather give it to east end images - he does wheel truing and spoke removals while riding.

i need my wheels trued properly on a stand... 2 Beers (1 for each wheel ) waiting for whoever can do it while i wait (admittedly drinking my own self deserved beer) patiently.

hmm, balki had his wheel trued outside at one SE's once while he was inside with us getting liquered up. however, i do not recall how the whole evening ended ;)
