Yey Crispin. I gree that there are always beligerant twats out for an argument on masses, but as u said, we know what to expect. Many of my bikey friends think fixie riders are a bunch of fashion-obsessed cocks, so it takes all sorts, and we are all the opressed ,so infighting is no good at all.

Can we have a moratorium on claiming CM isn't your cup of tea? You know what to expect, if you don't like it don't go and STFU.
I said it wasn't my cup of tea because that was my first time. If I'd been on it before I would have known what to expect.

New faces met, names forgotten & too many ales drunk. All in all a grand evening.
Only downside was having to get up for work, getting halfway there & realising there was no meeting & I was early...FAIL!
See some of you at Easts soon

Nice to meet you Betty - I was the fat old one at the Windmill (the thin old ones were Fruitbat and teenslain)

CM is shite. It does nothing for improving relations between cyclists and drivers, it's just pissed off a whole load of people.

No. Critical Mass is not my cup of tea and I have the right to declare it.

soften the fuck up?
:-)
CM isn't my cup of tea. So I didn't go. Plus I wasn't really free that night.

Never been to a Critical Mass before because it always struck me as having too much of a Burning Man vibe. I've had more than enough experience with that sort of thing.
I showed up late and didn't stay long with the CM logjam so I probably missed the awesome solidarity thing. What I saw in my brief tag-a-long wasn't that appealing to me so I doubt I will ever do another. The pub was ace though and I had a great time.
Big thanks to Horatio for providing my mate chain links and JoeSlain for offering his tool, fnar fnar.
Was great seeing those I knew and meeting some new people. All in all, a great night.

I can't believe the hang-ups that people have about their tea.

Ive been doing CMs since they began. Launched a couple too, but I saw what was happening was counter productive to the situation of cyclists on the road. Creating a sense of 'other' towards us, and alienating us all in the eyes of everyone else.
Maybe someone should link this thread to CM co-ordinators, or a CM forum? -

I can't believe people drink tea.
It's probably because I'm a Yank, but as much as I'd love to enjoy, and understand the whole tea thing, it eludes me. I'm a dyed-in-wool black, no sugar coffee guy.

Oh, and I always recommend trying fresh tea, brewed weakly, no milk (natch), no sugar. People are always overbrewing tea so that it tastes really bitter, and then they turn it into a milky, sugary sludge to overcompensate.

Agreed on CM being too slow and somewhat antagonistic, the break away to the Dover Castle was much more fun.
Great to meet a few people off here. Skully, Paul, Tim, Dancing James – stealth radioshow fan/critic, DMCzone – top work on the spokecards, Cliveo – nice gloves and many others who I met along the ride. It was even nice to catch up with Pistantor and see Teenslain again. ;)

There is only one way of making tea and that's my way.
Boil kettle
Put teabag in mug
Pour water in mug
Let the magic happen for 2-3 minutes
Stir
Remove teabag (squeeze extra juice out into mug upon removing)
Put in a bit of milk, too much is vile
Neck the lot while it's still boiling hot -
