  • I beat you. Ja.

  • It's all about Tough Shit!

  • I reckon all the uk teams will go through

  • Cough Euro Threats Cough

(Edouard and I beat Tough Shit twice in Geneva with Marc.)

  • J, you are not in the list....
also, who is your third, Marc??

  • Stephan is our third, Marc's playing with Apologie.

  • We only just beat DBAA in Geneva, they're becoming a good team.

  • What are the non polo players doing about accommodation? areas? costings?

  • Berlin's really easy to get accomodatoin. I found myself without somewhere to stay for 4 days last year and one intenet café a a trek across town to the district I wanted to stay in found me a hostel for less than 40euro (for all four nights).

That said, there's apparently a hotel across the road from where the courts are.

  • that list makes no sense. me, gormley and james have registered a team so we should be up there....

  • Were you in time? Apparently there is now a waiting list past the official 40 teams on the wild card tourney... I'm guessing they capped it at 40?

  • It's an old list. We're on the new list.

this is for all the polo people coming to the worlds in berlin, here you can talk about when you want to play..... number one court is ready and open from dawn 'till dusk some guys from na are already here, matt chicago, martin east van, tom el kico barca and berlin is hot.

  • awesome list.

does anyone have a spare pole...i need to make another mallet before i leave for berlin next friday...

  • due to surgery our teammate has to undergo this period we (ehvfxd) are looking for a 3rd skilled (defending) player...

  • The "shaft" discussion has been moved here: https://www.lfgss.com/thread48424.html

  • ta mark!

  • Can't play polo, but I can still play polo forum nerd.

  • people, bring lights aparently the police is hard on this 20 Euros fine on the spot
also the breakless people, have a dunny brake will not be a bad idea

  • the courts, they are BIG, at least 3 of them so star playing Mitch you lot

court 1, the surface is good, smooth and with no bad patches, but it has a higher middle than the goals, so both teams are rushing up, no too much tho. the fence around is hight enogh, and is wood . it's a very good court. Remind me of Rouen or Indoor Geneva, BIG
court 2, same size as 1, worst surface, Berlin guys has been refilling the gaps with new concrete, but still lots of bubbles, no fance yet but I guess will be like court 1.
court 3, Newington size, with a lovelly flat and smooth surface but only of the size of a tennis court, so the idea is to give a extra foot in lenght and wide in each end to make it bigger, nothing build yet.
court 4, side to side to court 1, no great surface, I imagibe that they will have to fill gap with concrete again, nothing build yet

then they have a space bigger than mitch to make the pick up courts, the two options are long and narrow or short and wide kind of Downham, that I personally like more.

the whole place is 15min from Alexanderplatz, a bit out the way from the main road. there is a lake 1k away so bring the swinning kit

    the gym

Edit: in google maps there are some ramps for skaters, no there any more as yesterday. Also court 3 is not show in Google but it is there

  • Sick. Cheers big guy.

  • more things, in all the trains and trams you can/are allow to get yourt bike on, so build your bikes at the airport

  • cheers for the info rik! i'm flying into Schönefeld on Thursday 12th, is there a train station at the airport and where do i get it to?
