road pedals on a beater >>>>>>

That is true..
-
• #9333
why?

(waiting for an ill-informed response)

road pedals = max efficiency, and a pain to clip into when riding about in town. And road shoes = walking like you've been sodomised, and falling down stairs.
basically, risers and beaters are practical, road shoes arent.

I have a feeling they put those on for an alleycat race of some sort and usually use other pedals
-
• #9337
Doubt it but even if they did it's silly to not put other bars on if you intend to race.

You need road shoes with those? They look SPD to me.
-
• #9344
SPD-SL they're shimano road pedals and require a 3 bolt mounting system.

Either way the guy has obviously ridden the shit out of it so it, maybe for some reason that's all he had to ride with.

• #9346
Ooh
what bars are these?
-
• #9347
DeRosa is perfection.
-
• #9348
I'd love to have that DeRosa. I would however rebuild it a bit to an oldschool roadbike set up and probably hang it on the wall.
