pedal rats
Takes about a week or two of normal use in the mud for them to get like that. The alloy is quite soft.

SS with one brake is perfectly safe, i don't feel this issue has been covered enough on this forum.
I'll bite it - I have no prolems with mine, gets ridden hard and with the one brake it's got now it stops better than it did with the original 2.
I had a go on a fixed gear bike today though and love skidding on them so I do want another wheel that's fixed to skid on :D :/

my only comment on the one brake on a road bike with fast 700c tyres is, I've had a brake cable snap, luckily on a fixed bike so I could stop. would rather have 2 with a freewheel, just because I wouldn't want to damage my bike by crashing it. Which is why run a barely used brake on my fixed, cos I couldn't face damaging the frame if the chain snapped, or I come unclipped on a hill. I also run a 2 bmxs and a mtb with 1 brake, never had any dramas with those.

was a freewheel/REAR brake until i completely cased a very tiny gap like an asshole.
the wheel cost a whopping 35 dollars (USD).
nobody's going to bite, Malaysian
