I really don't see the point in that but I'm desperate for a go on it!

Looks well suited to it's current milieu.

Short wheelbase for storage / throwing in back of car on a whim.
Gears for the significant (Clee) hill I live half way up.
Robust enough for farm track before I reach the asphalt.
Racks for taking recycling into town.
Racks for bringing shopping back from town (crate of beer back, Chinese takeaway front)
Cheap parts to 'prove' the concept - modify or replace with better when things prove inadequate by breaking.Total cost so far including paint: £70

I did not hack into Jimmy's account and wrote the above.
I will freely admit you are the source of the info, a truth I discovered after following said advice while touring. Not that my saddle was like that mind, just horizontal

Still evolving but it would be stretching a point to claim it's a 'current' project.
New derailleur hanger now clears the chain stay so all 2x5 gears can be used.
Next: rear rack angle needs sorting. This is weird, is it for taking on the train on a commute or something?
Ignore that^ didn't see the reply ^^

Awesome, but neither rat or beater. Just a dirty bike. Even has a TT protector. If that's someones pub bike though, I think they're drinking in the wrong place.
What's the seat? -

As for me, it is obviously a rat bike. The saddle is custom made by russian guys.
32s are fun
