My great uncle Ted's pub bike from when drink driving laws were brought in.
I resprayed it when I was a kid with my dad. Pretty poor job. The handling is a bit strange, but I love it.
I keep thinking about fixing it up, new wheels, a bit of grease etc. but when it comes down to it, it moves so there never seems to be any point. Also the current wheels are around 26", but some old size. 27" also fit... so I've no idea what size wheel I'd go for. I wondered about 26" with fat tyres.
Anyway I love it.
is there a small tube sticking out of the stem? like a cable hole for a gyro.

this is a waste of a curved seat tube no?
-
• #708
doesn't tuck in much further on that particular model.
-
• #709
Also they're surprisingly common for a curved seat tube bicycle.
Funny thing about that KHS, if the seat tube is straight, the tyres still won't be touching the seat tube.
-
• #710
yeah that tyre should be right up by that bottom bracket
-
• #711
It is a pointless bend because the seatstay bridge would stop you getting it in much tighter, even if the dropouts allowed it.
Still, if the seat tube were straight it'd be tighter but quite a lot more boring to look at. -

Are you in a position to pass judgement on this?

• #716

isn't it where the grips have been removed? (humbug)
Exactly. If anything that's the bit that should be more rusty due to perspiration from the hands.

dont really understand what you mean.
as scoble said, the tubing could be straight and itd make no difference to the placement of the rear wheel. presumably the frame will have cost more as a result of this pointless feature.
its just fashion without function imo. -

lo pro frame thats getting cut up/adapted into a polo beaut, a 24 inch wheel that came with the frame, and a shitload of 3.7mm walled hdpe pipe :)
the colour of the frame is actually very different to the photo, its more like matt's harry quinn.

Polo beaut = Beautiful polo bike

No, it's the bolt for the quill stem. The actual stem is one peace of curved steel And then the bolt tube(?) is brazed on (I think).
Also I dont think the forks are bent. The curve looks pretty uniform and more of a style ting.
