It's actually a Shimano Alfine 11 hubs, internal gear look is all in this season.

  • Oh, there was me thinking it was a hub motor

  • Isn't that courier Tim's? I'm pretty sure he showed me that picture today on his phone...?

  • Yep, that pic is off his instagram

  • My own beater. Bought the cheap frame and built up with mainly spare parts for use as an inexpensive run around. Was stolen in that state, which wasn't it's purpose...

Luckily recovered, so poured some Nitromors over the frame to make it more practical as a beater - a faux-rat.

  • I quite like that. Looks sturdy. What rims are they?

  • came across this site and its awesome. i love rat/beater bikes. this is mine at the moment its not too beat up but i like it.

  • sorry for the double post...

  • I confess, I just put nearly new cranks with bashguards, a half-cover for the chain (or for my trousers!) and a fancy schmancy rack on the ivybike. I think I may have just 'invested' in it ... oh dear, I fail.

  • i need to tension my saddle.. although it is amazingly comfortable, if a bit wonky

  • ^ This is you inflicting your shape on the saddle...
