Here is my beater/frankenbike, welded from two damaged CBT Italia frames (track rear and road front). The rest of the build comes from what I had left in the parts bin... My good friend Peete did the Dr Frankenstein welding job, hats off to him.

That's amazing. I'm sure you'll upset some people using those Mavic Starfish cranks on it though.

Well those Mavic cranks are not so rare here in France (got them for something like £20), and they were quite beaten already.

actually i don't care. I just don't like the spacers between the ring and spider. mostly just for style points. rest pleases me.

yeah this was really the quick and dirty way to adjust chainline ands fit a single ring with less than 48 teeth (due to the long arms you can't put a small ring directly in the spider)... and actually it looks quite cool with those metal arms protruding as a (possibly dangerous) chain guard.

This isn't a fixed gear or single speed but I think it is a great example of a rat bike.
