It's an old modified Swedish army bike so the nickname for it is exactly that, "The tank" ^^ and yes the front brake is still working.

It's super cool that you brazed that yourself and it looks great!
But isn't that Disc Tab positioning a recipe for disaster?
I've always assumed that the reason they're normally behind the axle is to reinforce from the predominant forces at play in braking.

Current rat bike. Frame is a shade big for me, but it was going cheap and I needed it at the time. It also had the original dropouts removed and track ends put on by @jonsteel24 i believe??? Correct me if I'm wrong there mate. Rest of the kit is whatever I had lying around.

Thanks!
I switched up the caliper position because normal disc forks have angled the dropouts so the wheel doesn't come out under braking. The donorfork I used had normal dropouts, so I had to switch caliper position to make sure the wheel stays in the dropout under braking.. And it has been performing great for the last 8 months!

New rat project but I think the saddle has gone a little too far.

bmx risers usually look awful on mtb bikes, but this^ miyata looks awesome.
I'll build something like this for myself.

Pretty sure that's owned by a messenger named Hugh. Affinity bro-pro by the looks of it.
Can we start a rule that nothing with, for example, Thomson parts can ever be referred to as a 'pub bike'? Too much money crew.

but I have a second hand Thomson stem on my beater that cost me £20.
-
• #10799
Does it matter? As long as the whole bike falls within the category non? In the grand scheme of things, they make great rat parts as their lifespan in pretty good. Buy once, use for life.

I think the presence of Thomson ≠ rat bike, but that might be because I don't have any of it on mine... :D
