  • can't we all just promise not to get hurt?

  • i know my way around a roll of gaffer tape. Seems to fix most ailments polo related.

  • Jono is pretty handy with super glue. Apparently the AE man at barcelona was very impressed with his handy work

  • Yep, he said with a big smile on his face: "Usted es un idiota inglés".

(Then proceeded to pull all my beard hairs out, ouchy.)

  • Only two games on Saturday. Does anyone from MCR have a croquet set or a Bocce set?

  • I shoulda brought my boule kit

  • i was gonna say that, but didn't know how to spell it, so didnt, haha

  • Are you already up there Toddy? Anyone in London have Boule/Bocce?

  • who's going up tonizzer?

  • La Schmoove I think.

  • Apples.

  • what time's everyone getting in, enough light for throw-ins?

  • We'll arrive pretty late I guess. Driving on a friday night will undoubtedly be a right cunt.

  • Driver on friday night will undoubtedly be a right cunt.

Don't be so hard on yourself Gabes

  • Just found out we could do with an extra Registered First Aider for the weekend, does anyone attending the UK Champs have First Aid training & Certification?

Please guys... does anyone know if anyone coming to the Champs is a Registered first Aider.....?

  • I can do first aid. Doubt I could provide certificated proof of that.

  • I would also wager that Bill is likely to at least be capable of claiming to be a first aider, even if he's not qualified.

  • No idea man.

I'm on the 7:20pm train later with matty boy and the schmoovers.

Leaving from work so no boule. Weighs a ton anyway.

  • I would also wager that Bill is likely to at least be capable of claiming to be a first aider, even if he's not qualified.

They need someone with a certificate for the insurance, I reckon. Having a bunch of dodgy herbal remedies doesn't count. I know how to do CPR and have some basic & patchy knowledge of how to deal with cycling injuries, but I have not been formally trained in 1st Aid since I was a Scout.

  • Yep, he said with a big smile on his face: "Usted es un idiota inglés".

    jajajajjajajaja

  • are you spanish-speakers coming to mcr?

  • No point bringing the boules if there isn't a big enough patch of gravel! My mum has a set or two, but I can't be arsed to ride up to Bounds Green and back, only to end up in a big argument with Chukker over the rules.

  • Bocce can be played on grass.

  • Theres a carpark, but i doubt it is gravelly enough

  • we're chasing up a red cross member for extra first aid, (we won't need it!) but Bill is right, it's for insurance purposes... i just assumed that out of 100-ish people at least 1 might be a trained first aider
