Jono is pretty handy with super glue. Apparently the AE man at barcelona was very impressed with his handy work

Yep, he said with a big smile on his face: "Usted es un idiota inglés".
(Then proceeded to pull all my beard hairs out, ouchy.)

Just found out we could do with an extra Registered First Aider for the weekend, does anyone attending the UK Champs have First Aid training & Certification?
Please guys... does anyone know if anyone coming to the Champs is a Registered first Aider.....?
-

I can do first aid. Doubt I could provide certificated proof of that.
-
• #742
I would also wager that Bill is likely to at least be capable of claiming to be a first aider, even if he's not qualified.
-
• #743
No idea man.
I'm on the 7:20pm train later with matty boy and the schmoovers.
Leaving from work so no boule. Weighs a ton anyway.

They need someone with a certificate for the insurance, I reckon. Having a bunch of dodgy herbal remedies doesn't count. I know how to do CPR and have some basic & patchy knowledge of how to deal with cycling injuries, but I have not been formally trained in 1st Aid since I was a Scout.

• #746
are you spanish-speakers coming to mcr?
-
• #747
No point bringing the boules if there isn't a big enough patch of gravel! My mum has a set or two, but I can't be arsed to ride up to Bounds Green and back, only to end up in a big argument with Chukker over the rules.

Bocce can be played on grass.
-
• #749
Theres a carpark, but i doubt it is gravelly enough

we're chasing up a red cross member for extra first aid, (we won't need it!) but Bill is right, it's for insurance purposes... i just assumed that out of 100-ish people at least 1 might be a trained first aider
can't we all just promise not to get hurt?
