That is more bikes than anyone (I know) else.
Not that I wouldn't have that many if I had the garage space..
Would be happy with one bike that could cope with the snow.. Sure the steamroller will be fine with different tyres and a not-fucked front wheel.

I have a 3 year old unused Ktrak kit still in the box and an old hard tail MTB up at the workshop ..... .... I think I'll put it together this afternoon and have a little fun when we go out sledding.

Damn, narrow slicks are good in snow because they'll cut through it like a knife and still contact the road, right?
right?
:'(

You have one of those kits? Amazing.
I'm going to get some breakfast into me then take the mountain bike to UEA or Mousehold Heath.

That sounds about right, nothing wrong with multiple bikes for different occasions, or that's what I've managed to convince the wife.

I looked at some knobbly tyres for my shitty hybrid today (it has slicks at the moment - I fell off as soon as I stood on the pedals) and it will of course cost me £30-£40 for a set. I might as well just get a second-hand mountain bike, do you reckon?
Any suggestions or offers? If it matters then I'm about 6ft with relatively long legs, proportionally. I have to ride with a high saddle a very long way forward.
My official budget is £0 but I could be persuaded to up that a bit. Bikes I have bought myself as an "adult" cost me £50, £70, £10 and £40, respectively. Only the £40 one is still running now. But I don't want to spend much more than that anyway.

What size wheels are on your hybrid? I've got a set of mtb tires with plenty of life left in them you can have for £5.
