  • Oh also does anyone remember this from the day;

Can't remember excatly where we were at the time but some fat bloke starting calling people gay pointing at them and shouting gay, gay, gay. Then someone lifted their cap and shouted 'yes, we are all very happy thanks chap'
everyone around him started laughing (I almost fell off my bike I was laughing so much) must have made the bloke feel so small. Props to whoever it was!!

    sounds like chainbreaker.

  • What is it with people that they can not be held up for 4mins? If there was a break down causing an even longer delay would they start effing and blinding at the engine of the vehicle??

I was thinking that too, the only way I can managed to calm them down is to let them know that this event only happen yearly, not regularly.

4 minutes is nothing compare to the amount of time they get stuck in traffic.

  • Great, fantastic, unforgettable, merveilleux day !
Thank you to Ted for this perfect day.
Thank you to all the marshalls and riders for the high spirit.
Merci again for your smiles and support for our mascot Elisa.
She can't speak english but she was so happy to be with you.
It's un fabuleux souvenir. We'll be back next year.

    A bientôt et Bravo à tous !

  • Anybody has spotted the pictures with all the Mercian? The only one I managed to see I am out of the frame... Would love to see the whole line of Mercian...

I would love to claim this one, but i dont remember saying so. THough not remembering in my book doesnt mean much as i dont remember anything ever.

Can you remember my name 'again'?

  • Seriously?!? Ask Forms how often he asks me that question - its become a game now. I really am shit at remembering names.

  • Gay... how tweed is that?

  • random spectator quote regarding my ears: "oi! they didn't have tunnels in the 40's"
and regarding kellys brompton "haha look at that funny little bike!" somehow missing the penny farthing, lowriders and 400 odd looking tweeded riders nearby

  • .

  • Ahh my dashing dame is rightfully the centre of attention.

Alas I have been caught half headed, as has Gerald.

It was such a great day to meet so many funny people in high spirits! The 'Look its the Tory Party' comment made me crack up too. I'm new to the community and helped out with the marshalling & corking, ta to everyone for being so welcoming. Plus, I think everyone's most excellent etiquette won over so many ppl who would have normally resorted to using their ghastly horns.

Anyway, i've posted a bunch of group pics from the day:

  • I remember her being rather excited about your curly stays G! I hope she found her bike.
I mailed her and am awaiting a reply.

Wore the 3 piece suit last week whilst interviewing in Dorchester,
Funny thing was, nobody batted an eyelid!
