I went to Herne Bay with a Swedish Baroness of my acquaintance (not strictly relevant to the story but it makes me sound hella cool so I'm going with it) and we discovered a gentleman's outfitters with a crazy amount of tweed - hats, sports jackets, proper trousers, v-neck jumpers, thick cotton shirts, total traditional awesomeness, and it was all about a fifth of the price I've seen similar things in London.
The guy was hella cool as well, I picked up this beautiful Harris Tweed hat for about £20, and he told me all about the factory that made the things and how they're going out of business etc. Really amazing stuff.
Anyway if you need tweed and London is sold out I definitely recomend the guy. It's Vic Kimpton Menswear, 158 Mortimer St, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 5DU - number is 01227 375640.
Kickass

i'll put up a post begging for marshalls soon. lemme get a few more things out of the way first... if you've done it in the past and want to do it again though, you're definitely welcome to.
