Here I have for sale my Eddy Merckx low pro track frame, it has a 60cm seat tube and top tube (c-t-c)

The frame is built from Reynolds 531 Speedstream aero tubing and is not drilled front or rear. It also comes with a spare set of forks for use with an 80mm spaced hub.

The rear spacing is 120mm and the front on the forks already in the frame are 100mm.

The frame should fit anyone between 5'10 and 6'4", and is a really nice ride. The workmanship really shows through the way this thing rides and handles. It really is a wonderfully built frame.

In this sale I am including a Campagnolo loose bearing bottom bracket, Tange aero headset and Shimano 600 aero seatpost with the F+F. The seatpost looks a lot like the one in the pictures but is considerably shinier. The diameter is 26.8.

The photos I am including in the thread are the ones I was shown by the previous owner of the frame, back when I bought it last June. The frame has no dents and is in good cosmetic condition despite a few small marks to the paintwork.

Please note that the stem, bars and wheelset in the photos are not for sale. The photo showing the fork clearance was taken with a 25c tyre on the rim. The largest clincher tyre you can fit on the front is a 23c.

I am looking for £280 for the lot.

    Collection from Putney, SW London.

Please PM me if you have any questions. Do not fret if I don't get back to you during the day as I don't have access to a computer during working hours.

Dibs by PM, first with the cash, etc...

    Thanks for looking.

  • i can vouch for this frame. its rocks. buy it. i would if it was my size...

  • that frame is gorgeous max, if i had the money...

    why you selling? too small?

Indeed. I'm simply too tall to ride it.

    you live in putney now?

Yeah man, we must catch up soon.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

  • Argh id take it now if I was taller.

  • "Merpackx"

  • "I'm simply too tall to ride it."

    How tall are you?

I'm, what others consider, WELL tall (like 6'4/6'5) but what love to take this cycle off your hands.

  • Max is freakishly tall

    (photo (c) coppithat)

  • I wish it was my size.

  • it would fit you.
it comes up very similar to mine.

  • But Max is three feet taller than you.

  • yes, that is why it's too small for him.

  • I see.

  • you raaaang!

  • So do you know that it's definitely a merckx now?

I don't think it's a Merckx, the drop outs are wrong and the seat pin cluster isn't right. It looks more like a Raleigh.

  • dont think its a raleigh, theirs look slack

  • We've had this discussion before, but never got to the bottom of it.

But it was owned by a British Track TT member so it's certainly a great bike.

And he said it was a Merckx.

  • Merckx or not, its a sweet bike for a sweet price.
