  • Dunwich Dynamo is flat.

  • So rather than reading the whole three pages of this thread, i guess the advice was 'don't go on a track bike'....?

  • Am cycling on a single speed/fixed from Singapore to Shanghai at the moment. Wouldn't do it without brakes and flip flop.

  • Has this been resolved yet?

Planning to catch a ferry over to Saint Malo in the end of June/July then cruise down the Atlantic coast, across the Pyrenees in time for the second week of the month to spend a couple of days in Pamplona for the festival, then a ferry back up from Bilbao to Portsmouth.

Never done that sort of distance before. Ridden to Paris/Fontainebleau a few times, Dartmoor and back a few times. But not to Spain. Never even been to Spain.

But I'm well up for some sunshine, beer and laughs.

Input please. Alternative places to visit in Spain mainly... Based on what I've read so far here and elsewhere it seems that cheap B&Bs/hotels are the way forward on the journey - I'm assuming it might still be wise to take a tent though in case we can't find anywhere? Panniers, minimal tools/spares. I'll be taking a road tourer, my buddy probably on his dodgy hybrid. Rough journey time? Other things to consider?
