Thorn is probably your best OTP, I'm 6'7" and other half is 5'3". We have the Large / Small and its a bit of a compromise but ok. At 5'7" you could get on a Large / Large I imagine.

And bought it?
-

No, not bought it.
I never thought I'd be interested in tandems, but little by little they're creeping into my bike 'want' list. Something old/basic enough to not be quite cheap, but also modern enough to be a bit practical and easy to source/replace parts.The one above is going for 500€.
There are a few other interesting ones on leboncoin in my region at the moment. -

but also modern enough to be a bit practical and easy to source/replace parts.
This is the key! My first tandem had a cottered chainset and was incredibly difficult to find parts for.

Very nice.
That's actually the only variant of the Look numbering system that I've ever fully understood.
A2 = 'Ã deux' = 'together' -

Wow, that's some next level shit!
Short wheel base, Major Taylor stem, all configured on the drive side, fixed...
I'd love that!
You'd be a brave man to take it two-up down anything approaching a hill in the rain though! -

I think I would have taken the mudguard all the way to the seat stays and made the stub seat tube vertical. What's the inscription on the drain pipe?

Yes! Bloody yes!!! More fun than the best fun. That's me stoking on the Alves. Captain bro in law. My first tandem ride. Won't be my last!

Laterally stiff, vertically compliant 🙂
With all three tubes in the stoker's compartment nearly parallel, I bet that does actually flex up and down quite a bit.
