  • To be fair you look like this

so they can't really be blamed

  • Whats the picture of? (do I really want to know)?

  • The only way to get your handlebars cut down properly is do em yourself, then you can't complain. Mechanics hate newbs, known fact. Mechanics love cyclists who try stuff em selfs and as for jan behind the counter, he don't need to make new friends, what do you expect from a shop such as BLB if you go in lacking knowledge but want a bike like everyone else in hackney. They havnt got time to sit an explain everything, Do your research first or go to halfords!!

  • You sure you don't work for BLB?

A decent bike shop shouldn't go around "hating" new cyclists.

Am I the only one thinking this is the biggest load of bull?

  • Nope, it is a lots of bull, it take one to know it.

  • Yes, it sounds like he's saying, basically, that he's all clued up now and he's earned the respect of the super-cool blb crowd, and if they are rude to you you deserve it for not knowing your shit. "I've been riding track bikes for around 7 years". Wow, was that before they were cool?

I think the athmosphere there is one of money grabbing elitism.

have you ever fucked anyone in a game of bike?

    I second that

See this attitude is the reason that people hate BLB, as for mechanics hating 'newbs' that's a whole load of bullshit, you were a newb at one point even if that was back in 2007 or whenever you claim you started riding track bikes, with that attitude you show it's no wonder people think you work in BLB.

Did you help them invent the fixie in 2008?

  • lol indra were u even born then?

  • no

  • Did you help them invent the fixie in 2008?

The apocalypse happened in 2008, so like I, he got hooked in those "at one with the roads" bollocks.

  • lol indra were u even born then?

he was the result of a collision

  • Makes me laugh than Jan seems to have Never Ever Smiled In His Life. Fits right in down Dick Lane.

Don't get me wrong I actually quite like him.

  • Jan the dude with the glasses?

  • No, blonde stocky Slavic dude who owns it. Not a Hipster.

  • He invented The Hipster Tax. One clever dude.

  • I think he smiled at me once. It was when he was telling me that he wouldn't be able to get a part in for my bike. This was before I'd even said hello to him, and I didn't actually want the part he was talking about. It wasn't broken or even worn I guess he just wanted me to know that he wouldn't be able to help me.

I'd forgotten all about BLB, I kind of knew they were still around but in the back of my mind I think I'd assumed that they'd disappeared sometime around 2009.

  • Heh, yeah innit. Along with aerospokes.

  • Never been in there, never will with the likes of Kinoko and LMNH on my doorstep.

  • You must live in a big house.

  • Is everyone still bitching about BLB? Everyone knows this place http://www.londonbicycleworkshop.com/ is the worst fucking bike shop in London...

  • Anyone used Lunar Cycles, pretty decent place that.
