There's still no excuse for piece-of-shit service. I've been mugged off by nicer car mechanics.
Not my point.
the issue was with the OP's use of "in the market for" and associated conceit about what amounts to a simple, cheap consumable.
of course the service shouldn't reflect the price, but let's stay within the realms of sensibility, You wouldn't expect to have a "conversation" with the guy behind the counter of the petrol station about "maybe being in the market" for a packet of Toffos "in a couple of weeks" Or maybe you would...
actually that sounds like a bit of fun

I've heard there is a girl working in there who has a fanny AND a willy.
Please. We're still trying to forget!

Never been there myself, even though my bike was built there (I got it second hand). Still I might pop by at some point - I'm in the market for some pedals soon ;)

This thread reminds me of a conversation I had whilst fucked the other weekend: Asking completely the wrong question when buying stuff:
"Will this book work abroad?"
"Is this washing machine free range?"
"Are these trousers HD ready?"
"Can I offset this 19t sprocket against tax?" -

I think the OP should've lied a bit to make the story better for retelling it on The Internet. I would've said that he burped in my face, farted then waved me out of the shop with two fingers up, then coughed the word 'cunt' as I walked out the door.

Maybe she queefed in the OP's face... That alone would merit a thread... Alas, I doubt she did...

I like it. Went and stocked up on some stuff yesterday for my replacement build after mine was stolen, the girl who served me wasn't chatty but totally efficient/pleasant, a few other guys were really helpful last week when I was putting my 'stolen' poster up (Bobby and guy with a cool goatee). I've also met some of the others over the last few years via mutual friends, all seem like good people.

"Cool goatee" - is that an oxymoron?
^lol
