Sadly this passed a few people by, including the one who PM'd me last year to say how cool it was that my username is VelocityBoy as he has orange Deep-V's on his bike... part of me died that day.
Hahaha! :D

Doubt I could pull it off.
Might go for... SpentTooMuchOnBikesAndStillNeverManagedToWinACrit.
I suppose you wouldn't want to be associated with those nasty Leader frames either?

Er yes... though the point of changing it was so that I couldn't be found by Google, so... thanks for that! :)
Oops... Sorry.
How about "This is my forum bitches!"

Go upmarket with a username like...
£120eachCampagAtlantaNOS
...although BLB probably have that as a URL.

Oh fuck, if it's not bad enough that some people think I took my username from cheap but over-priced rims, now they're going to be even more prevalent.
That's it, I'm changing my username.
what about 'ononelangster' - I think that would be a great new name for you VB :^]

MavicBoy makes me sound like a Japanese cartoon character. I quite like.
My username came from Velo + City (as in, the city is my cycle playground) and a twist on Primal Scream's Velocity Girl single. And not the rims. Sadly this passed a few people by, including the one who PM'd me last year to say how cool it was that my username is VelocityBoy as he has orange Deep-V's on his bike... part of me died that day.
would've made a whole difference if you captialised the C of VelocityBoy.

a big thanks to the chaps at BLB this morning. i popped in to buy a new front light as my nearly year old front 5 led knog packed up after being super temperamental. the guys were great, said they'd just do a straight up warranty swap so 2 minutes later i rode off with a spanking new number. wicked. thanks BLB. :D

good to hear.
i've not used the bigger knogs, but i had one of the little ones (frog?). they're pretty flimsy, managed to break it straight away...

Apart from the fact they're convinced I'm Fred's dad, I have only good to say about them.
-
• #240
Indeed, i've always found their staff to be very friendly and their customer service excellent, plus it helps that they're like a 1 minute walk from work : )
-
• #241
I've had good and bad service from them. For me, they're really no better or worse than any other bike shop I've been in.
-
• #242
i wish they had a similar policy for leather christophe toe straps one of mine snapped on bishopsgate after less than 2 months riding and when i went back with it they basically said "tough shit". no exchange, no refund. and i was polite, always am as i used to work in a shop.

Always super nice to me, never understood the bad press they get.
@fiddy, You're everyone dad though?

Maybe that was because you went in to BLB holding hands? ;)

I think it's kog them self that off the guarantee, a leather toe strap is different.

yeah i expect they can get any faulty knogs replaced be the knog rep so from their point of view it's nothing lost by replacing it. from a consumer point of view a faulty product is a faulty product regardless and if something fails within a reasonable amount of time the retailer should be reasonable.
good on blb for providing a good sevice this time though.

hopefully the new knogs aren't as flakey as the first batches. i don't want to have to cross my fingers that my light will turn on. ffs. :D

i don't buy stuff there anymore.
Doubt I could pull it off.
