Why are Aussies so Awesome?

Of the few games I've watched its the violence that seems not be included in the rules. If your ever bored check out the calcio storico in Florence. If has lots of rules but they look irrelevant.

you might see some violence on the highlight reels, but you don't see the several weeks of suspension and large fines that result, innit.

Is it a good thread to discuss if it is surgically enhanced?

To me Australia seems to have many things to recommend it- nearly all of them, thinking about it for a second, based around it's climate. But anyway- it seems like an attractive place to live, property is cheap, the country is so ineffectual on the world stage (and remote) that no one is blowing it up to make a religeous/political point, and did I mention that it is sunny?

So I'm a little surprised that our resident 'strines have not started a thread called "Why is Britain so Awesome?" as they surely should be able to tell us jaded Brits why our country is so amazing that they choose to fore go Australia to live here.

Your country is not awesome but it's pretty cool. It is a nice English-speaking gateway to the rest of Europe. It is good for people who like to work to earn money. It is full of history and other cultures. It has nicer beer. What the fuck am I talking about this is the Aussie thread.. piss off! :P

i have to unashamedly bore the good readers of the forum.
had been in steak and kidney for about 3 days when I went to a reclaim the streets party just off darlo road.
getting grog from the bottleshop this guy asked me what it was all about, explained c.mass and all to him and he said was "ah yeah; good on ya's"..... fucking loved every minute of the two years I spent in that country.

Actually you Aussies have been churning out some pretty sweet prog recently......if you are so inclined....

Wow, and there i was feeling almost ashamed to admit im a bit of a hippy trance geek :) I met SCS at Boom along with shadow FX and a couple of other zenon guys, top geezers the lot of em.

Freq is a kiwi but lives in Melb, innit (fucken love his work though). Also Mantrix, Terrafractyl, Mr Peculiar... heaps more. nice little scene we have in Vic. I fly home for Rainbow every year. It's worth the airfare because it's that good.

Oops I forgot about FREq being an NZdian... Yep, Melbs has a damn great prog scene, always has for some strange reason. Melbs, NZ, and the scandinavians have some strange connection. We may have to start a Psy/Psyprog thread if there's enough of us..... wish I was coming back for Rainbow Serpent, I miss Earth Core in the late 90's when I was at uni.... have a Blast, I'm jealous!!
