Yeah, well, in this case of the obviously photoshopped image they're quite correct.

To be sure, that photochop isn't as bad as all those purporting to show an Australian Tour de France winner, taking Internet fakery to a tragic extreme.

The Hated thread gets bumped for useful things that don't involve mocking Australians. So until I can merge them in some kind of reverse Brexit protest, what's the best way to get from Sydney to Blue Mountains for @Dammit ?
Yes, I'm going to duplicate every question in the other thread in here until they're both killed in a ball of fire.

- Blue Mountains Express trains are 9 1/2 minutes faster than they were last year.
- Awesome that's an average speed of 30.5 mph.

Taking a bike to explore the Blue Mountains is not totally crazy. Taking it on the train gives you the option to get out to dozens of spots on the cliffs not served by bus or coach, avoiding the worst tourist traps. It is not flat but there are few serious hills while you stay on the main plateau. Lock up before exploring the cliffs and valleys on foot.
@Dammit 's tour comes back via Parramatta which is best explored by bike on a Sunday. There are now off-road cycle routes parallel to the river back to the Olympic Park. On the boat all you see here is mangrove swamp. After that take your bike on the ferry back to the main harbour and centre of town.
Bikes go free, maximum fare all day Sunday is $2.70 on an OPAL card. -

Excellent skag in Paramatta too, top tip...

I think I’ll do that tour tomorrow, question is what to do today?
I asked the guy who cut my hair yesterday and he suggested spending the weekend in the pub.

Wander up and down a beach until you've got your tan just right.

Get out on the harbour. Ferry to Watson's Bay or to Manly. Maybe an evening cruise https://www.pilgrimsailing.com.au/twilightsailingsydney.html
Every time I go to Sydney I catch up on the weird art and tea at the White Rabbit http://www.whiterabbitcollection.org/ -
