Keep going East. You'll find it much nicer, proper forests, no tramps or big issue sellers. Not too far East, mind. Don't want to inflict Essex on you.

My experience of east london was hackney and getting post nickd, motorbikes nicked, cars nicked, if it asn't nailed down it was nicked even through two security gates.
Funny you haven't had a bike nicked...

Im moving to east london, like bethnal green area this coming summer... like end of august. I was wondering if anyone knew where abouts to look in that sorta area that would be good to check out?
I am looking for a 2 bedroom place, with a budget of like £1000per month.
Cheers u guys!
East is best and Hackney is bestest, maxtm. I'd recommend Clapton, but then I live there. There'll be any number of warnings about that from other forum members around shortly, but you can safely ignore those. :)

So thinking of moving to East London as well... I have lived in Muswell Hill, East Dulwich, Clapham, Angel, and currently Balham, but fancy seeing a new part of London.
Thinking of the following areas:
Shoreditch
Hoxton
Bethnal Green
London Fields
Dalston
HackneyAny I should strike from the list or places I should add? Would prefer to stay away from high crime areas.
Thinking £1,200-£1,400pcm rent for a nice 2 bedroom, reasonable? -
• #43
£1500 sounds about right, you'd be lucky to get lower in any of the places on the list bar Hackney central/Wick.
-
• #44
Fuck Shoreditch off, it's a godforsaken HOLE.
-
• #45
reasonable?
No.

Don't move East, specially now pre-Olympics.
I know at least of 3 cases of people around here that have been
evicted by the Landlords - sudden sale. Either that or the rents rising to dbl. -

Clapton lol
Clapton rocks.
They were struggling to get the nonces out of East London to West
