I think one of these days I'm going to open a store called
"Fapper Bikes"
it'll be like a peep show for LFGSS members.
All tastes catered for. -

Oh c'mon kids, get off the moral high ground. Not everyone wants to buy an otp, not everyone wants to build their own, not everyone can afford high end parts and pretty much everyone wants to make a profit when they sell a bike. It's not going to last forever. It's not sold at cost price - shock horror. Too much blinkered bandwagon jumping on this forum.
The point is they are POS being passed off as quality vintage builds - no one objects to someone turning a profit, what i object to is someone wasting their money.

At least unipacks are designed for their intended purpose, and still half the price.
What is the intended purpose of these monstrosities? to be put in a cage and gawped at by an incredulous public? in that case they are fine.

Fine - absolutely take your point, poor value compared with some of the alternatives - but pretty sure there's knowledgable people involved in this latest lfgss slanging match who own any number of fairly average components with a bit of blurb behind it (531, njs, track anything) and not blink at a stupid mark-up.
And to answer those who say at least Unipacks are designed for purpose - well so what? The conversion market is huge because, at the end of the day, an old racer frame makes a pretty passable fixed gear bike and there are loads of them about at the end of their first lives.
Really my point is, I just get a bit bored of people on here ripping average bikes/bits/people apart with brutal mob mentality if they don't quite fit in with some piece of second-hand forum received wisdom.
And just to make it clear, I have no affiliation whatsoever with these people (Foffa).

Hamatt - no disrespect meant, but you have totally failed to understand this forum - you wont find a more helpfull bunch of cunts willing to help point out everything that is wrong with your build than on here.

^ Repped...

The thing is Foffa are selling for nearly 400 quid the sort of thing you can throw together from bits in your garage or a couple of beaters from the tip
-
• #71
Hamatt, for under £400 you could get those;
£50 more;
I bid you farewell..
-
• #72
Aaahh shit, so now what, stick to my guns or fold under pressure...
I've been here long enough to know the craic - also been here far too long not to have picked a pointless fight with people I don't know before, so here it is ^.
Still not worked out how to convey warm feelings towards the whole argumentative, mean-spirited bunch of you all though without one of these smiley fuckers ;)

It's all cool, Hamatt... Just don't bite... ;]

My Specialized Singlecross didn't cost that much north of GBP400, but I can't fit a clenched fist between its wheels and frame or forks.
Unlike these 'bargains'...
Is that who I think it is Joe?
