?
to put it simply, airwalk copied the milwaukee's new bruiser geometry and got their own made by the same factory who made the unipack, i.e. cheap, and sell it for $199 frameset.

Does, perhaps, the plot thicken?

He's not going to stop trading because he was bad mouthed on a forum (or two), and I frankly hope he doesn't. Improves the mechanical safety yes, and I guess he can charge what he like, especially if people buy them.
Perhaps is from Glasgow.
And I wouldn't blame him for changing his name. -

And I wouldn't blame him for changing his name.I think using the same images and wording about cytech and warranty is a bit obvious though eh?
And don't this Foffa lot have premises in London?
Could be shipping bikes up here to a mate or something? The shipping costs would at least partially explain the pricing which hasn't changed! -

When the chasm between how clever somebody thinks they are being and how dumb they actually are becomes this yawning, I defer to the Reverend Spooner:
The thick plottens.

No, aimed at Foffa for setting up as far from London as possible to get away from the stink here without realising that google make the world a tiny village.

Aw ok!
Should have put a smiley after my retort, hope the implied tongue-in-cheekness was evident over the interwebs. The guy that posted the ad has posted on our forum to say that he bought a bike from Foffa and was asked to place ads in Glasgow forums and classifieds.
-
• #339
why would they ask a customer to post an advert? doesn't seem professional at all, nor necessary, why couldn't they just have done it themselves? its the internets.

Sound like bollocks to me.

Hey,
Pretty quick to assume the worst here?
I just bought that blue/red bike from ebay. Dani (who has been very helpful so far) asked me if I would be interested in spreading the word in Glasgow for commission.
Not a bad idea being that I will have a bike to demo (providing the bike is worth a demo!)
I will hopefully get it before Friday. I'm sure you will all be interested to know how well it rides...and I can tell you that I am not filled with confidence after reading this Forum.

Wicksie, can i just check that you have been posting on this http://www.glasgowfgss.com/discussion/1221/1/single-speed-custom-builds-300-400/ thread?
-
• #347
haha! the plot thickens even more! i don't think it is wicksie, really doesn't sound like them.
pretty sure this almost proves that it is someone from foffa
the thread has had nearly 8000 hits in 6 days
Now tell me what happens when it all turns good ???
everyone will know about the bikes and the new range being launched next month
Whether you like it or not Foffa bikes are Famous- new range being launched? how the fuck would the real wicksie know that?
- why the fuck would the real wicksie be bragging about how foffa are famous? they aren't even famous! specialized is a famous brand. foffa is not. it is
this is fucking hilarious
- new range being launched? how the fuck would the real wicksie know that?

ok ok, it is fucking confirmed.
this is some fucking foffa stooge.
and foffa have just ended their business i think.
There have been close to 1500 bikes built and sold
The actual returns and refunds equate to around 0.25%
yes ONLY 15
LFGSS was never needed to sell bikes and keep the customer base, the forum is mainly for the more dedicated fixed gear riders of London, and believe me there are quite a few that ride Foffa bikes **along with many couriers. **
There would be an awfy lot more personal complaints on the forum if they were anywhere near as bad as the posters make out .
The bikes picked out with bent forks for the coloured backgrounds were photographed in a rush by a professional photographer and it was the photographers assistant who pulled out the bikes for their looks and just happened to pick out 2 that were to be repaired after the riders had had small accidents on them ( riders and car/bus issues not components).
Still the pictures looked good at the time. Didn't ever imagine they would be held up as examples of our finished bikes.i really think that this is completey outrageous! a professional company stealing the identity of someone and pretending to be them and posting on another website! fucking hell. and the stupidity of that person to even think that including details that only company staff would know is going to keep up the charade!
foffa=out of business.

Thanks, i wasn't sure about posting but reckoned if Wicksie's name was getting used behind his/her/their back then it was pretty low and if not then there'd be no problem.
