Second for me. The third word (after Foffa Bikes) is 'bespoke'.

why is it always the same people on this forum who do shit like this though? At least people like snottyotter are funny and witty which is fair enough and is in the good spirit of this forum. Dancing James and his ilk are just nasty little people spouting nasty smallminded shit about stuff that has been put to bed literally years ago.
The only conclusion you can make is that these are keyboard warriors who would shit it and never say anything like what they say here to Dani Foffa's face. These knobheads thrive on putting other people down and trying to fuck with peoples livelihoods in order to make themselves feel important. Sure Foffa is misguided in his attempts to come on and defend his livelihood but you can see why he wants to and these assholes are hellbent on destroying his reputation.
The thing is, its really not just about Foffa, this happens all over the place on this forum and its always the same people. These people are wankers
I'm not sure which bracket you put me in and I don't really care-any time I've responded in this thread it's in the light of some new and bizarre posting from Danni a la £3000 foffa. 'Hellbent on destroying his reputation'? You'd think he was that himself.
One thing I find strange about your logic-and as someone who knows a couple of people starting their own framebuilding workshops and turning out nice custom bikes for not much more than Foffa charge for a mish-mash of generic anodized parts or cromor frames-is that his 'business strategy' or offering a choice of colours and calling it bespoke or custom and charging equivalent costs as the real deal is taking money out of the pool that these other businesses are feeding from.
He's previously compared his wares to Condor, and of course H+Son, to validate pricing whilst ignoring the fact that both these companies put back into cycling and have released products from scratch to build their brands. Do I think that Foffa's Hi-Pro or whatever the fuck it is deserves commercial success based on innovation, style, design or technical performance? Fuck no.
If you've got an opinion to the contrary then by all means express it, but if you're only way to argue your point is to say that everyone who criticises foffa is a nasty cunt then it's not a very sound argument and makes you yourself sound like a wanker, albeit one of a different flavour.
I think more, not fewer, successful bike companies would be a good thing, competition and choice are good for the consumer.
All very true but not endlessly regurgitating the same empty platitudes at the people to whom you should be trying to sell your wares to as if they are (in B+D parlance) 'two bob mug cunts' is an excellent way to get ahead in business and make sure your brand is successful, and it's probably the thing that's most fucked people off on here when it would otherwise all have slipped into the moist and accommodating anals of lfgss history.

Eh?
Can you please explain how I'm 'driving him out of business' by raising perfectly valid points in response to his and other postings in this thread? It's hardly breaking windows and burning him out of his home to be posting on lfgss, is it.
Or is the moral police on here expanding and taking over responsibility for all postings pertaining to economic entities also?

You talk about others being 'moral' alot, but you are quite moralistic yourself. Yours is also a point of principle, no? It's not nescessarily a bad thing. Infact it's probably the basis of alot of conversations.

I think the lesson here is that people will always buy things that you'd rather they didn't.

The way I see it the guy has worked hard, jacked in his secure job to do something he enjoys and try and make a buck or two out of it.
Like a lot of firms there have been a few hiccups, he seems to try to rectify them yet a number of people on the forum just refuse to accept he makes a product that has hit a niche and a lot of people are happy to buy. If people don't like it fine but I think this post would be affecting his business in a negative way and as much as I am happy to argue semantics (bespoke/OTP/custom) this is pretty shitty. Not everyone has the benefit of spending hours/days on bike forums, learning the hard way. My first ss bike 7-8 years ago was a create ffs so everyone starts somewhere.
I'd be happy to take one of his bikes for a spin rather than being critical without knowing the facts. Its like a Daily Mail fucking lynch mob at the moment and not sure wtf is going on with all the vitriol -

It's not so much a morality issue as that I don't like being patronised. I find every time Danni has posted on here he's been incredibly patronising to the forum at large, and also in the case of specific responses to me. It's helped turn me from a neutral bystander who didn't really care about 'bikes for wankers' into someone who feels that he's incredibly disingenuous.
The value thing is for everyone else to deal with as I wouldn't look twice at a Foffa because i know what i'm looking at for the money, much as I'd not consider buying a new stock charge or on-one.
The 'driving out of business' thing is hilarious-look how much shit BLB or Rapha got and still continue to get on here, yet I don't hear anyone wailing over their stiff corpses.

It was from previous favours owed, before $$V became a currency to rival the greats, like coinye west, dogecoin and Scottish banknotes.

The scars must be deep, so I forgive you your own vitriol filled polemic that you are helpfully and sensitively applying to the 'super aero-looking saddle position' riven perinium of the forum.

I don't go to BLB due to a poor one off experience and then I read on the forum similar experiences from everyone else so never went back.

there are a million and one average bike companies that churn out average middle of the range stuff, market it well and sell it for way more than its worth. Look at Ritte, they are a prime example of overpriced bike kit. Wheres their hate thread? What about Genesis? anyone FUCKING HATE them too?
I dont think i will ever ride a Foffa bike but they arent there for people like me, they are there for people like my mate who hasnt ridden a bike in 10/15 years, bought a foffa ss and rides it to work. He loves it to bits, has had it for probably 2 years and it still works just fine. If it was me i would have told him to get a Dolan Precursa, which is nicer and cheaper but he has deffo got his moneys worth. Condor are a great name but ive been in there and seen their shop assistants literally taking customers to the cleaners for all they are worth. Wanna start a hate thread on them too?
How can you call me the moral police when there is this constant campaign of holier than thou opprobrium to this guy and his average bike company on here? Theres a genuinely nasty side to it. People sue and win for not much more. Take the piss by all means (the hi-pro deserves some criticism for sure) but the bikes arent those dangerous wrecks from 4 years ago anymore. The guy has done pretty well since then.
They arent bikes for this forum. Obviously. but they arent that bad either. Not every person that has a go at Foffa is a cunt but the combined campaign over time is pretty cunty tbh. The trolls like Dancing James etc are awful though. They do it elsewhere too and i wish they would take it elsewhere

ditto, but the thing Danni should reflect on is that he is his essentially his own brand, and if he comes across as a douche on here then people won't want to have anything to do with either man or brand, which is my experience. Not to mention the fucking ugly bikes. Or the shit photos. Or everything else I've ever seen of the company that they do to compete with other companies trying to sell the same stuff in a fair and open market place.
The aspiring Mother Theresas and Mandellas amongst the forum might disagree with this principle in the belief that every company looking to honestly separate a hipster from his trust fund his to be applauded and supported, but it still doesn't mean his company gets immunity just because Scoble and DJ have formed a virtual tag-team of bicycle knowledge to wound him with.

Funnily enough i worked with a guy called Tim who rode a Genesis and he was a right cunt, to the extent I probably couldn't ride one myself for the daily reminder it would give me of being subject to his irritating face.
I'm sure they are nice bikes though.
Ritte's hate thread is probably on BikeRadar.

NB this is a joke. :)

If the atmosphere in this thread is such that it renders jokes imperceptible to anyone but grammar specific Germans then truly, the levy has broken..
This thread is still the 4th result if you Google 'foffa bikes'.
