• I was looking at one the other day somewhere. They're great. Even better are the older ones, there's one (50's I guess) I saw locked up in Kensington a while back, absofuckinlutely great it were. These eighties ones with the bent tt were nice too

    Fuck that, this is for the win;

  • I understand why they are doing this. You don't need bicycles to deliver parcels if you steal all the fucking parcels instead of delivering them.

What will be the impact on Pashley?

  • That thread merge has wrecked my head.

  • this thread is like being at school, I feel like im at work-except its more juvenile on here!

  • I might be writing a story on this; are there any cycling posties on here who would be up for a chat?

  • This is what replacing the Royal Mail bicycles;

I love the guy's "please don't make me drive this thing" face

  • Well, yeah, except I've just mentioned three different frames that definitely exist, and I imagine there will be more older (60/70s? 30s? Pre WW1?) ones that I don't know about.

The ones that I've seen were probably 60's on, wonder how many pre 60's ones are left and not just scrapped once they were replaced.

  • I might be writing a story on this today - are there any cycling posties on here who would be up for a chat?

  • wake up early in the morning, sit outside the doorstep, and you'll find yourself a postie.

  • i had about 10 postie bikes in aus.
    not at once, mind.

my best mates dad was a postie, so we got the fuckers for christmas, birthdays, you name it.

  • wake up early in the morning, sit outside the doorstep, and you'll find yourself a postie.

    Repped for comedy.

    mid afternoon more like.

  • It's a shame they're going but they're clearly not practical anymore. We all get shit delivered from Amazon and we all know how much room parcels take up. It was ok before t'interwebz when people actually bought stuff and carried it home themselves.

    Now back to the comedy!

  • German postie bikes are my fave.. if only they were red..

  • You just like the idea of stabilizers.

  • In France, as usual things are done better.

  • Copenhagen the same, right now they're replacing their entire fleet with step-thru frame in attempt to reduced the amount of 'sick day' causes by falling over on a horizontal top tube bike.

  • In France, as usual things are done better.

They wrap your letter around a baguette and chuck it over your fence don't they?

  • French letters.

    perverts.

  • French letters.

    perverts.

  • YouTube- Bow Wow Wow - I Want Candy

I've got the original of that song on a 6inch vinyl by a band called the King Bishops. Just saying.
EDIT it''s a Bo Diddly song. Oops.

God that woman is teh sex. I always dug her so much it made me feel a bit funny. I was only a boy at the time. Thanks Murts!

This thread is pure gold, especially the merge.

  • i know who did the original, but she is far better lookin'

    and yer welcome cuntyC

  • i'm sure you do, grandad.

  • King Bishops version is super boss...

  • One was abandoned in my neighbours garden which I erm... 'claimed' from them claiming I'd speak to RM myself and see if they wanted it back. This basically means I now have a RM bike to do up.

  • In France, as usual things are done better.

It's been getting gradually worse since you left, though. ;)
