  • Balki, the law never rests.

  • Clockwise L-R: fatboyralph, mini..cooper, BRM, Balki, hippy (horizontal)... Be afraid...

  • Where's Dale?

  • safely in the back, hopefully

  • It is clear that a number of members of this forum are in the police. We should not be surprised. The Met runs a very active and successful cycling club. Many policemen and women cycle and so why wouldn't they have an interest in fixed wheel or single speed bikes. Fixed wheel bikes are not just for kids in art school. Don't allow your prejudices determine your perception of the backgrounds of riders.

Naturally, any police officers who participate in this forum would not wish to advertise their profession. Brian Paddock, the Liberal candidate for London Mayor, caused a stir when he started posting on internet forums while a serving police officer. Being in the police is irrelevant to someone's enjoyment of fixed wheel riding.

I suspect that those who are members of the police take care to disguise their career when posting. Working on this assumption, the only person on here who is undoubtedly in the police must be lynx.

Whatever, next you'll be telling me that there are cycling lawyers out there.

  • I suspect that those who are members of the police or "legal profession" take care to disguise their career when posting.

    Fixed
I was never convinced by the reinsurance story

  • Dales like the keanu reeves character in point break... jonnys patrick swayze.

  • Clockwise L-R: fatboyralph, mini..cooper, BRM, Balki, hippy (horizontal)... Be afraid...

Ya know I had to look very closely at that to confirm it wasn't acutally me.. well spotted.

Rather like Clive pretends to be a lawyer to disguise the fact that he is really a saucy comedian with his own show on television that invariably ends with him being chased by scantilly clothed women and a bald man....

I thought Clive was the one on TV who lives in a cottage in Devon and cooks funny food for the locals. I'm getting confused.

  • @ Veevee - Multiple personalities or twins? The plot thickens.

Interestingly I've slept with both Clive and the chef, but not at the same time.....

He chooses to do this rather than spend his half-hour in the exercise yard each day. Something about Big Frank......

You tart! After telling me and Jonny we were special..............

  • A friend of mine (woman, was at NI resources at the time) was being chatted up in a boozer or at a party can;t remember which.

I wasn't there but this is probably a good approximation of what transpired:

Him: Hi, my name's insert bloke's name
Her: Hi I'm insert girl's name
    Him: What do you do?
Her: Oh I work for the Times and The Sun, in their library. You?
Him: Oh, I'm a Graphic Designer.
    Her: No you;re not.
Him: Uh? Well, yes I am. Whay do you say I'm not?
Her: (going on weirdly correct gut instinct): Cos you're embarrassed to tell people you're actually in the Police force.
Him (gutted but amazed): oh erm well actually you're right, how the fuck did you guess? That's what I usually say, graphic designer, always works for some reason.

The moral? Never trust someone who says they're a graphic designer. They're lying to you.

  • ^ Trudat...

  • Ok then Skully, I'm not a graphic designer, happy now?
