Ha. Get fucked.
Had a nice long test ride of it today though. Such noise. Very zoom.

Bought an SV650 and rode it back from Edinburgh. 1. The north has magical roads. 2. V-twins are a dose of manic hilarity. 3. Side winds at speed are fucking terrifying. 4. My ass is broken.
Massive thanks to all for the advice.

Reevu MSX1 also a rear view helmet at £229 odd.
Seems to get decent press from those who used it -
• #8119
Which ones?
I thought the helmet and bike stands were good.
On the subject of helmets, I need to buy a new one as mine is probably too old now.
Is it worth waiting until further into the summer for sale items to start cropping up? Also any shop recommendations would be appreciated.

If you know your fit, you can't beat http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk for service and value.
They have some decent items on discount at the moment...

Cheers.
I'm not 100% on buying online as I've only ever had one helmet. I chose that one as it was the cheapest that was comfortable and had a internal sun visor.
Actually on the subject of features, is there anything new that folks would recommend?

Head over to somewhere like Motoden or Metropolis (don't buy from Metropolis) and try lots of different manufacturer fits.
Once you know which fit works for your head shape (i have a rounder face and Shoei fit great), buy the one you want, online, for cheaper.
Features i would have as a minimum:
- Good ventilation
- Removable ear cups
- Resizeable cheek pads
A helmet is one of the main things it's worth spending more on (along with gloves and boots). The more you spend, the quieter, lighter and more comfortable they will be.
- Good ventilation

i liked the indicator feature on the boots and like you the helmet and the paddock stands.
the jeans were very nice but i could feel a blutz motorcycles sponsored tour coming and i feel like i've seen too many already.

@Soul - cheers.
I'm not really sure about the shoes TBH. Would it not be better to have some extra indicators built into some crash bungs / sliders?
One thing I wondered with the jeans is how the mix of kevlar and raw denim will work over time. I'd guess kevlar doesn't shrink, so will you end up with a baggy crumpled lining?

Aye saw them, found a few others, none can do better than a 3-5 day turnaround once they get it, and as I use the bike for work 7 days a week, I cant' really be with out it that long, the loss of work would make the genuine part look like good value. All the places local I've found so far have been a 'we'll have a go but can't promise anything, leave it with us', which also doesn't really work. Going to order the China one, wait till it gets here limping on swapping the battery over every 10 hours of riding, then once here have a go at rewinding mine whilst the China one is in place.
