sorry. i just realised that my post wasn't quite explaining anything.
i meant kevlar long johns. to wear under regular jeans for protection.
IMO they won't protect you for shite....aside from stretching, heating and tearing flesh, kevlar's abrasion resistance is marginal on it's own. My chum had a set of Furygan 'kevlars' which he thoroughly shredded (and himself) in a 50mph off at the end of the straight at Snet. I've lobbed it on the road in straight denim at the same speed and not been as badly scraped up.
Full leather, or accept roadrash! ;)

yea, not convinced by those kevlar jeans that have been around a whle. Mostly on the grounds they look so ugly. I saw those liners too and thought maybe they would be a good soln. Not sure how thick they are though - maybe too hot in summer when i do most riding. I'm not sure what the soln is. You want to look 'normal' but a bit of protection would be good, not just the kevlar but a bit of armour might be nice. I have a mesh like dainese jacket that i can wear in summer - not exactly my thing but not bad - and i can fit it under my barbour when its a bit chillier. I have never found a good way to dress my pegs though. Yea, i know i should just deal with looking like a dick and armour up, but i can't quite do it. I'm thinking of getting a schott perfecto jacket though, from e-bay. So I might need the denim to complete the fonz look anyway.

I've got some kevlar jeans - they're shite.
I wear BMW summer trousers in the, umm, summer. They're not bad at all.

my thought was that thi liners + jeans + protectors would be better than just kevlar jeans. at least the whole leg is covered in kevlar and the tight fit should keep the protectors from shifting around.

Aaah, the golden day of the protective motorcycling swimming short. Sigh..we'll like as not never see the days again..

My dad used to actually take me on the bike when I was two. No helmet, no seat. I live.

Them were the days. And even when helmets came in, they were made of papier mache and you used to wear a bobble hat under them as everyone got the biggest size so everyone could wear it.

I've got Kyrano kevlar longjohns, made by the same people as Hood jeans. They are a bit hot in summer, but no worse than leather, and they are very tough.

I'm sitting in a portable office which is Apex Motorcycle Training in Norwich. Soaking wet from the ride over. I've just been lightened of £89.99 and left in a dark office alone. Is this some kind of mental test, part of the CBT? I can't be sure. Must be vigilant.

Done. Cold.

So?

Passed it. Wasn't really dressed warm enough and it was hard to concentrate - kept leaving the indicator on and getting yelled at. Also did a front wheel skid at one point. Passed though.

Thanks.
It transforms from sports bike to tourer to commuter thanks to a sequential gearbox and paddle change.

No left hand lever at the handlebars?
I got a set of Armadillo D3O Waterproof trousers in TKMaxx for 20 quid down from 100 the other day - they had quite a bit of kit in the Ken High St one, but annoyingly a lot of the tags were missing so couldnt tell how waterproof/resistant some of the jackets were.
