So the guy driving the truck is the guy on the KTM or it's the guy on the KTM that gets knocked off?
-
• #6278
The guy driving the truck is the same guy on the KTM
-
• #6279
Well that was fucked serious of affairs.
Tbf though the camera bike does a few not ideal filters, or maybe that's after shots already fired? -
• #6280
Is de-catting frowned apon?
Looking at upgrades to my transalp and a full Leo Vince system will shed loads of weight, but i dont want to create issues with future sales or MOTing.
I can go for a decat pipe and keep stock can, get a LV can too, or leave the cat on and get a slip on can only.
Or leave it alone.
Swapping cans would be easiest as i can revert to stock easy enough. -

You say "not ideal filters", I'd say, "riding like a cunt".
Not really surprised someone's taken him out, intentionally or otherwise.
KTM guy seems like prime bell end material too though.

he was a bit naughty with the right hand turn at the start - but he had the speed and the timing to carry it through, and he knew he wouldn't be causing any grief behind him - who hasn't taken advantage like that before, honestly? the rest? he was trying to shed that fucking nasty piece of shit on the KTM. I think he's almost entirely blameless and that other cunt wants removing from the gene pool

Is there a video that I'm missing? That one on the bike seems to start with him trying to get away: what happened before that?
Edit: video doesn't start at the beginning. I've seen it now.
-
• #6284
Yeah I've only just watched the start of that first video now, why's it starting almost 3 mins in?
Anyway, not an unreasonable manoeuvre at all. I've done the same on my bicycle before when traffic, lights, speed etc are favourable (the right turn in Clapton from Lower Clapton Road to Cricketfield Road, for example).
Also when I first watched it his overtaking seemed a little bit risky, but now having seen those first couple of minutes and the way the nutjob was following him, weaving around and shouting I don't blame him at all for trying to get away.

fixed the first vid link - may have been me sharing it from that point

Yeah I wasn't going to say it. Not exactly a massive talented/experienced rider myself lol!

Just passed my test! Hooray! I have an old CB200 Cafe Racer which looks like it's going to be too much physical work for me so am planning on selling it and getting something newer. Any recommendations on bikes that look traditional (i.e. 60s/70s traditional) but run on modern technology? Would love a Bonneville but don't quite have that cash right now - looking at £1k to £2k.

well done on passing, good times!

Thanks dude!

Was going to say Enfield but there's not really much modern about them!
There was a 400 Yamaha that I thought about last year...

Here we go,
Wasn't in your budget new but you might find a used one...?
I do like the look of it, I'll ride the Duke tomorrow though and remember why I bought something made of plastic.

I'm going to definitely be selling my Triumph Thruxton soon - I'll be getting a major service done first, and a fresh MoT, but when it's ready I'll offer it here for a forum price of £4000 if anyone wants it.

Firstly - well done, they'll be in your blood forever. Honda do some nice middleweight bikes around 5/600 cc with decent power and fairly traditional looks - CBR600, CB500 - really good mpg with good power over 6/7000 rpm. Kawasaki Zephyrs are good trad style bikes, rock solid air cooled 4 cylinders. Most of these are well within your budget. I'd use the saved cash on a decent helmet - lock etc.
Or you could just go mental and get an old 'Blade / ZX9 and really, really good Life Insurance. You'll have a blast, whatever.

Donkies back had a B reg'd Honda CB400n (think it had an 'N' at the end?) was a 400cc twin with many problems that failed its MOT on terminal rot.
Rode it on the sly (farm tracks, fields, moorland and occasional sneaky bits of road) for about 18 months when the frame finally rotted through and it became a chopper. Engine and gearbox would have lasted forever though despite my abuse. Totally inappropriate for off-road use, guess it was deemed a commuter bike back then? -

Junkies have robbed my Oxford rainex cover again for second time. Fuck sake. Just gone out and bought another, will have to lock through it front and back all the time. Thinking about writing my flat number and postcode all over it in marker pen. Also maybe UV pen? Will it make any difference?
-
• #6296
Just draw spunking cocks all over it, theres only a few folk who want to wrap themselves in that so minimize risk.
-
• #6297
ha! I really want to write 'you thieving sub-human scum' on it!
-
• #6298
Spotted this. The stared for a while.

Cable locks but doubt it was junkies, what is a bike cover worth. Usually nicked for someone.

£50 they are
I didn't realise the two were related until I was browsing PH just now.
That guy managed to talk his way out of a dangerous driving charge, reduced to careless driving. That was pre-meditated attempted murder. He knew the guy lived in his area - according to YT comments the victim biker said he'd seen the guy about since the bike on bike altercation - so he clearly knew he'd see him on his bike again when he was in his truck, and decided when he did he'd fucking run him off the road.
Based on his social media profile, the guy maybe doesn't deserve prison, but definitely should have had mandatory psychiatric care levied upon him as he has major issues.
