  • @soul can we assume you passed?

  • lolz ! Good work!

  • woot, woot

well done fella. how does it feel?

hope you were composed enough to get a picture with certificate and instructor :-)

  • Nah. No photo.

I was just keen to get home and out on the bike as soon as possible.

Been to fill it up and out for a quick spin and its marvelous. I've got to do something at home but then I'm heading straight back out again.

  • fine weather today, lovely 80 mile run out to Ballater and back on the striple...ah loving this bike - apart from the seat which is sooo uncomfortable

  • well done Soul!

  • Good work Soul!

I got a phone call telling me that my Vespa is due for a service.
Shit, I don't think I've ridden it a single mile since the last one. It's too nice to leave parked anywhere.

  • Pics?

  • Has this been on here before? I haven't seen the latest one:-

  • Lovely

  • It's no Lambretta ;)

  • Actually its no GS...in gold....

  • Thank fuck for that.

    It's no Lambretta ;)

  • Actually its no GS...in gold....

    Thank fuck for that also.
Smallframes beat lardy largeframes hands down. Especially that slow overrated piston-ported GS.

Mine in particular will show a clean pair of heels to any GS150 there is. It's faster than my Triumph.

  • Covered about 200 miles this weekend, heading up to Cambridge and back.

    Lots of fun...

Wasn't there some chat about a jaunt to France at some point?

  • yeah it definitely needs to happen. good to hear your having fun.

  • I decided at the time that our last jaunt to France would be my last. I haven't changed my mind since then. Or serviced the Triumph.

  • @BQ maybe a trip inland then?

was it markyboys snoring, that took the shine off it for you?

  • I think the misery of riding hundreds of miles in a biblical downpour, the terror of having the bike cut out on me at 90mph on a dual carriageway in said downpour, the 'fuck off' gallic shrug of the Triumph dealer who refused to take a look at it, and then being so tired that I dropped the fucking thing at Loic's parents outweighed any possible pleasure I was able to derive in the next two days. Then there's that awful unlit motorway on the way back from the ferry. The point of these things is to enjoy yourself and ride away the stress. Instead I didn't really enjoy any of it and my stress levels increased massively.

  • oh no.

sorry to hear it went like that. would you be up for a cruise in good ol blighty?

  • Could do. We could do Cotswolds, Cornwall, somewhere like that. Yorkshire might be nice but it rains a lot there.
Need to service the bike first though. It's in dire need of a full service. And for that I need work to pay me my overtime.

  • I'd love to go out on a proper hack before the weather turns nasty

  • Errr 300hp and frigging wings? They need to get the water tested around the Kawasaki plant....

...yes I would like a go.
