Finally managed to pin Ace Rider Training down and my test is on September 10th. Whilst it's nice to have a date, I started my DAS course on the 2nd of August which is just taking the piss!
To make matters worse, I have my new bike arriving tomorrow and wont be able to ride it for nearly two weeks. Arseholes.

It's here:

nice! what can is that, not stock?
-
• #5431
Yup; stock.
Only modifications are centre stand, rear hugger and heated grips.
I was hoping for a 12v socket in the frunk but it doesn't look like the previous owner bothered. I'm hoping that they installed the sub harness & relay from the fusebox for the heated grips (they won't turn on without the ignition on) so at least all i need to do is run a wire from that.

looks good, the tank looks a little like a Stormtrooper helmet!
I was going to give my ER-6 a wash and polish and take down to my local Triumph dealer to see what they will give me against a street triple (and maybe take a test ride) but it is absolutely fucking it down with rain :(

Yeah... it's a bit different looking. It's also not the tank! That's under the seat.
The storm trooper helmet is the frunk (front trunk) which holds the fusebox, battery, documents & enough room for a XL full face helmet. -

Cheeky.
I had a quick sit on it today and it's fine. Flat on the ground on both sides!

KTM giving free goes on their bikes at Box hill at the weekend.

My test has been moved up to Monday morning :-D
It's at Erith. Anyone done theirs there?

Careful on the roads around thamesmead as they really rough and you can get both wheels off the ground at 60mph on some bits.

I took the bike into town today on a quick errand - but ended up parking it miles away as I couldn't find a free bike bay, was considering sticking it in a normal parking bay - and saw that a few people had done that and covered up their licence plates. Does that trick actually work?
-
• #5442
Why would you/they cover the licence plate?
-
• #5443
As allegedly wardens can't take the cover off to read the plate, even if it is a plastic bag.
Westminster council changed that rule :(
Also cover the plate and leave the tax disc showing.

I have some pretty hefty Velcro at work, wonder if I should make done modifications...
Traffic wardens up ere dont seem so fussed by bikes right enough.

I stopped going to Westminster when they started charging and fined me. I had no idea. My aim was to cost them more in lost business rates, parking fees, whatever than they cost me. It's been years now, I may have succeeded.

Or just use the underground carparks in westminster ;)
-
• #5447
Its only a fucking pound
-
• #5448
It was 80 fucking pounds.
-
• #5449
I hope you got a glass of bubbly for that price

• #5450
Had my first near incident in the wet yesterday, so fucking slippy...
But because I'm a strong mofo, I practically stopped the bike slamming into the rear right panel of white non-indicating Range Rover... cunt
