TTT are shit, after managing to repair the wiring on the ex's ccm and treated her like absolute shit. Repair is fitting a larger fuse so the loom sets fire to itself.
I've used them for years. They kept the Honda 400 alive and on the road for not much cash, and they've rescued the Triumph a couple of times when it's protested at all the neglect. Always found them alright and well priced.

I know someone who built something along those lines year ago.
It had so much torque that even at idling speed you could put the front wheel next to a wall and let the clutch out. Either the bike would go over the wall, or the wall would fall down. The engine would not stall. I think it was a dump truck engine. -

Diesel motorbikes?
This thread has jumped the shark....

Can you just sit cbt after cbt now? Sure when Iwas doing mine you had to take a year off if your cbt expired and you hadn't passed. Or could that have been the theory test? I remember I sat my practical about 3 days before whatever it was ran out so had to pass. I did.
Chav down the road who a friend knows through someone is on his 4th cbt now , there's no restriction on just sitting it again and again and it really makes very little difference on scooter insurance

I did it at least 3 times before getting round to taking my test.

Yeah....and you didn't eat all the chocolate ;)
Has anyone failed a CBT?
Yes I have failed people, and know of one person who should not have got a cbt.

At 17 doing my first CBT (for expiration reasons) and being a bundle of nerves, I entered a petrol station via the exit and thought I was done for. Still passed though. Fair play I think to anyone who fails their CBT and still persist to get a full license.

yz = mx
yzr = factory road racer
tz = customer road racer
tzr/rd/rz = streetbikeThis concludes my Yamageekery.
The frame welds on that YZR replica look a little clumsy and how have they managed to fab the cast bits?
I'd rather a 480cc banshee motor in a TZR 250 frame....mmmm....

I was told it was impossible. They just make you do a second day and a third until you give up. I did 3 over 6 years just because money+time+right frame of mind were never all in place at the time. Eventually I got a new job and had a small window between jobs in which to pass my test so I did.
My first CBT I had to do a second day, mainly due to the instructor being shit and failing to teach us anything. Metropolis in Greenwich. useless fucks. Apparently it was his last day and he simply didn't give a shit. I'd never ridden anything more powerful than a bicycle on the road before and he took us on the South Circular. I was shitting my pants. At one point my intercom became full of minicab firm, which was fun, and a short while after that I grabbed too much front brake and dropped the bike, which wasn't.
Anyway I passed on the morning of the second day, with a different instructor, and went to pick up my Vespa from that Scooter Emporium on the Truman Brewery. Still not having a fucking clue how to ride I piloted it, terrified, along Whitechapel Road in the rush-hour and when I got home I said to Mrs Q "I've made a very expensive mistake!" She made me go back out and told me not to come back until I was happy riding it. Best thing she could have done. I came back a couple of hours later grinning like a loon, and that grin's always come back when I ride the Vespa. It's probably why I still have it.

Awesome little story, although the South Circular scenario sounds like some kind of nightmare.

Tried a 360 Frontera once. Took an age to get it started. What a din. Amazing.

Little Mulholland / Latigo canyon mission this afternoon. My bloody visor was steaming up in the twisties - a genuine nip to the air. Most unexpected!
New bike SO much more fun than old bike. Sounds fabulous in the mountains too. Yay.

Muc-Off motorcycle cleaner - has left all of the alloy parts on my bike, and the rear sprocket looking white and slightly furry, as if corrosion is taking place
not impressed
just found this comment from Nooj - same thing
"I'd avoid Muc-Off as well. I tried some recently as my Fazer had got absolutely filthy over winter. It took all the ACF50 off so the all the bolt heads rusted and alloy bits started going white and furry over the next week. Definitely a product to avoid! "
